And will you be hosting?

Really just interested to know what other people do.

Just the four of us! I feel a bit guilty that my dad'll be spending the best part of the day alone as my sister does her own thing but he doesn't want to drive to come to us.

IsThatTrue · 13/10/2013 19:45

MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL, DN (10mo at Xmas), DH, myself, DS2 (1 at Xmas).

Dd and DS1 are with their dad this year :(

But it means we get to do it all over again on Boxing Day Grin

BIL is hosting but MIL is cooking. I will be enjoying.

UsedToBeNDP · 13/10/2013 19:45

12 minimum Xmas day (bil's house). Around 15 boxing day (my house)

Bunbaker · 13/10/2013 19:49

3 - me OH and DD.

17leftfeet · 13/10/2013 19:49

Just me and my 2 dds for the first time ever this year

We will all muck in with the cooking so god knows what time we will eat but we will spend the day in our onsies and just be very chilled out

Lizzylou · 13/10/2013 19:49

11 at our house on Christmas Day.

piratecat · 13/10/2013 19:50

one, dd !

BunnyLebowski · 13/10/2013 19:50

Same as Bunbaker. Me, DP and DD.

Oh and our brand new puppy Grin

Exactly the way we like it.

MadameBabawic · 13/10/2013 19:51

My mum comes to sleep over on Christmas eve (to make FCs job a little easier) and so it's us 4 with my mum. Lovely. I get out of seeing my ILs by having a christmas meal a couple of days before (and try not to get angry when i lsten to their "FC bought your toys to us because blah blah" when stockings only come from FC in our house!)

Not sure if i fancy having a big, busy busy christmas really.

MirandaWest · 13/10/2013 19:51

During the day time DD and DS (and then XH as well).

Later on my bf and me.

cupcakeicing · 13/10/2013 19:52

4, me, DH , DM and DS. Only get every alternate year off so really looking forward to it. DH and I do the starter and main course. DM does the trifle.

JollyScaryGiant · 13/10/2013 19:53

Just the four of us I think. We considered going to my parents where there will be at least five people. If we were to go there, 9 and the dog would pretty much fill the place.

Oreocrumbs · 13/10/2013 19:53

20 ish on Christmas day - not all at once, my parent's house first, then DP's later.

Boxing day 500+ (we will have to work) and the rest of the holidays just us with my brother and parents coming and going.

TigOldBitties · 13/10/2013 19:55

15 adults and 20 children so far for dinner.

Me, DH, DS2, DS3, DS4 and DD
My parents
My nan, gran and grandad
My sister, her husband and their 6 children
My sister, her husband and their children
My sister, her husband and their 4 children
My brother, his wife and their 3 children

DS1, his girlfriend and my grandson join us in the evening.

I will be swearing gin.

frosty21 · 13/10/2013 20:03

4 of us. Me, Dh, dd1 and dd2.

I don't think dd3 counts yet as she isn't actually due till January although she will be making her presence felt through my non alcoholic Christmas!

I love being able to do exactly as we want, when we want. We keep it fairly traditional but really focus on the dc. Its their day. When I have spent Christmas at MIL or my sisters its been really adult focused, with the children being expected to play without 'annoying the adults'. It spoils Christmas for me.

I wish my parents were still alive - they are the only other people I would wish to share my Christmases with.

GemmaTeller · 13/10/2013 20:07

Just me and DH

olibeansmummy · 13/10/2013 20:07

We're having breakfast at my sil's, where the will be 6 adults and 4 children. Then we'll pop to my sister's on the way home and then it'll just be the 3 of us for the rest of the day ( my parents live abroad).

starsandunicorns · 13/10/2013 20:09

Just me and dp and dafty dog

COCKadoodledooo · 13/10/2013 20:15

We haven't even thought that far ahead yet.. Probably dh, me and the 2 dc at home. Would love to host but we live hundreds of miles from those we'd like to invite and don't have the room to put them up.

overitalready · 13/10/2013 20:15

20..im at work Confused

7 boxing day and im cooking, dunno which day is worse Wink

Salbertina · 13/10/2013 20:18

Tig Shock, where do you put then all? Is it fun or hellish ?

tumbletumble · 13/10/2013 20:20

This year the PILs are hosting. Will be only 7 of us (PILs, me and DH, DCs). Last year we hosted for 13 so will be a bit calmer this year!

merlin · 13/10/2013 20:22

Probably me, DH, 2x DS and 10 others, poss an extra 2 as well!

Meglet · 13/10/2013 20:26

Ideally just DD and DS. Which is what I did last year.

But I think we might need to visit relatives for Xmas lunch. I'll keep it short and sweet.

MamaBear17 · 13/10/2013 20:28

Everyone! The day will start just the three of us, then round to PILs at about 9.30 where we will be joined by my dh's sisters and partners and my gorgeous dn. At about 2ish we will head over to my parents joined by my brothers. Its busy, but lovely. Although, I am looking forwards to next year when we will stay at home and people can come to us!
