And that thread title's an order!

Thread 13 now, unlucky for some but hopefully lucky for us.

Keeping things same as last thread - if lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Second message hasn't been updated with new offers from last thread as you are too chatty for me, will do better next time.

I've just been to home bargains for the first time in my life Grin got a couple of the hamper baskets for December deliveries and they're lovely. also bought lots of Christmas bits, santa stop here sign, lights, festive plates, cups etc. got some plastic wine glasses for Christmas lunch for DDs. oh and some kitchen roll Grin very pleased.

now sat outside hobbycraft as DD3 has fallen asleep in the car.

think I'll venture over to Ikea next Tues (my only day with just DD3)

great to see you back Isaac Smile

Bugger I have just ordered the letterbox kitchen after talking myself out of getting ds a kitchen for christmas and a garage instead. Looks like he might do both.... I paid by paypal knowing that there are some issues with letterbox so figured this would be safer than my debit card.

Your all making me want to go to IKEA now.... its only 10 mins away and I don't have any plans with ds this afternoon. Equally though I don't need anything and could really do with saving some money to get a plumber in and service the radiators....anyone got any bargain plumbers? Grin

zipzap · 15/10/2013 12:04

Ikea decorations usually come down massively in price in the last week or two before christmas if you're able to get there and wait that long!

they also gave away their christmas trees last year for free - and even though it was rootless we took one to plant in a pot next to our front door, thinking it would last over christmas and look jolly.

It is now 10 months on, it stayed green until mid june when we needed to repot it into a bigger pots - roots have regrown. it is now brown but the needles haven't dropped from the tree, it looks like it is a beautiful bronze tree... we've had other conifers that have had gone brown and then come back the following spring so we're hoping that it will do that; in the mean time we have this beautiful but strange tree in our garden, but it's definitely not dead as the needles aren't all dry and falling off, nor is it rotting when it gets wet.

fingers crossed...!!!

WhispersOfWickedness · 15/10/2013 12:08

EnvyEnvyEnvy At everyone close to an Ikea. Mind you, I would be completely skint if I lived near one Grin
I am off to my parent's for half term next week and fully intend to leave the DC with them while I go to Ikea on my own Grin

Some cheap blu ray films at blockbusters including the twilight films for 3.55 each! Lots of others too for under a £5, have a scroll through the under £12 for blu ray tab - can't search by price unfortunately. You can gte them delivered to a local store for free.

Smile waves at Isaac - it's nice to have you back

I'm over the moon that my bargain furby has been dispatched by Amazon. It's been showing as dispatching soon for days & I though it was sure to be cancelled. Thanks for the tip on that one Kryptonite

Rhinopotamus · 15/10/2013 12:28

I've just ordered a shelf from letterbox for ds2's room. Have been after one for ages and £8.25 was too good to resist. Was very tempted by the kitchen, but we don't really need it. Fingers crossed it gets here, my last order was fine.

Got an idea for any whisky drinkers (like my dad and fil) Groupon had a set of whisky stones for £13, but they had sold out. They are granite cubes that you put in the freezer and then use like ice cubes in your whisky. They don't water it down and can be reused. I had a look on eBay and there are loads. I went for these

Whiskey stones

I'm going to buy a small bottle of whisky to go with them.

It wouldn't be bargainous to spend £80+ on train fare to London at half term to go to ikea, would it?

ZipZap that sounds really pretty! I wonder if I could get there when they're doing that this year, as the tree on the boundary is dying quickly and when it's free, it'd be rude not to take one

notso · 15/10/2013 12:31

Male gift alert Fenchurch have BOGOF across everything on the site, T-shirts are £14.99, Hoodies £29.99. Might order for DH but not sure he's fussy about brands Hmm
Saw this on HUKD incase anyone cares

Sigma · 15/10/2013 12:34

Boots has an offer of half price Philosophy hope in a jar moisturiser when you buy the night cream. This saves you £17 on the moisturiser but they also give you 750 points for buying 2 premium beauty products plus 1000 points with code XMAS2013 so effectively the moisturiser is free. I have had my eye on these creams for ages so very very excited about this

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/10/2013 12:35

Has anyone seen any reasonable priced but lovely/cool measuring cups or spoons for baking? :)

HereComesHoneyBooBooDragon · 15/10/2013 12:55

Tala do lovely ones for a fiver in pastels. I'm looking for something similar for less, so will shout if I find anything

NeverQuiteSure · 15/10/2013 12:58

Rugbylovingmum I'm not sure how old your DD is, but assuming you haven't already decided on a dress up rail, you may like to consider doing what we did and mounting a row of child-height hooks on the back of her wardrobe door. We tried a rail initially for our DC, but it resulted in a terrible mess as they weren't able to easily hang things back after playing with them. Hooks also mean that things like bags and necklaces can be hung up too rather than getting tangled in boxes. Dresses tend to hang by their straps and I've sewn small hanging loops into jackets and trousers.

(Good to see you back Isaac )

notso · 15/10/2013 13:06

Tesco have some Russian doll measuring cups which my sister loved last year they are £6.24, I paid about £10 for them!
For more cheap and cheerful Asda have bright coloured ones £1 for the spoons and £1 reduced from £2 for the cups.

Brockle · 15/10/2013 13:08
