Wrt awkward to buy for people, this isna bargain but The Folio Society has gorgeous illustrated books for adults as well as children. Last year I bought my 30yo DB a copy of Animal Farm (his favourite) for xmas and he loves it. They are beautiful.

I am planning on wrapping the rug and laying it on their bedroom floor so when they stand up on Christmas morning they will stand on wrapping paper which they can rip off to reveal this

6yo DD1 is hopscotch mad at school so will love!

But I haven't run this idea past dh yet!

I find that ebay often has a nice enough cheap alterntative to Cox and Cox. They even have the same thing sometimes, much cheaper. eg. cox rose garland ebay rose garland. Worth checking if you love something from Cox and Cox.
