I’m doing things a little differently this time - if lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Hope this works a bit better and please give me feedback Grin Thanks

we’ll need to start renting storage facilities to hide all this stuff the rate we’re going

Does anyone know if shops have got their Christmas stock in yet? I'm thinking of matalan and M&S... Want to go and look at their 3 for 2 before ordering online.

SpookyPumpkins · 11/10/2013 20:58

Wow haven't looked at the thread for a couple of hours, it's gone from around 500 to 800Shock
I thought I must have missed hundreds of bargains!
Iv missed out on the 'discussion' but would just like to point out that I have posted several links to HUKD. Simply because I thought it was a bargain that others could benefit from.
While I obviously look on HUKD I completely missed the wilkos suitcases on there and only spotted them because Isaac posted the link on this thread! That deal saved me well over £100 and because of that I couldn't give a fuck if the thread is filling up faster because of all the HUKD links, I am so so greatful to everybody that contributes, but especially Isaac and Reastie.
Thank you ladiesSmileThanks

Am thinking of getting Ds the Harry Potter lego game for play station. Does anyone have it and would you recommend it? Smile

leesmum · 11/10/2013 21:00

I have no intention of introducing anything NEW in my bedroom....Mr Leesmum can keep any ideas to himself!!! Ha ha ha ....we need a laugh on here tonight Smile

iloveholidays · 11/10/2013 21:00

Crayola make your own nail creations down to £6

JustBecauseICan · 11/10/2013 21:00

Is it the same as the Nintendo one? Dd has those and loves them!

Iamsanta · 11/10/2013 21:01

Any cath kidston codes about?

notso · 11/10/2013 21:03

DS1 has it on the Wii janx if he has any other Lego games they are a bit 'samey' but that's just my opinion DS1 loves them.

Slainte · 11/10/2013 21:04

Goodness, I posted that post to bymoonlight before I saw all the hullabaloo.
I agree with the other 99.9% in that this thread is for chat too.

enderwoman · 11/10/2013 21:07

The Lego games are good. My sons prefer Star Wars to the Harry Potter one but that might be because they prefer SW to HP

paperclipsarebetterthanstaples · 11/10/2013 21:08

Ah, what a bloody waste of loads of messages :( I'm totally addicted to this thread - I love the buzz of people getting bargains, asking and giving advice etc - it's a real community Christmas spirit. [Flowers] Reastie and Isaac Flowers keep up the good work and bah humbug to the spoilers.

LAH22 gives 15% off Cox&Cox until October 20th. I bought one of these today as a birthday present for my Mum - who loves Christmas as much as I do!

Reastie · 11/10/2013 21:12

Crikey moses, wasn't expecting to walk back to all that Shock

Isaac I think you've posted lots of fab things, and, tbh, I don't mind where they've come from so long as they help people and are legal Grin .

I also quite like the fact people do ask for obscure things and someone somewhere has a great find (even if it's not the most bargainous) - it's like a one stop christmas shop! But if people want me to create rules or a formality to what goes on to make it more just about posting codes/links etc I'll go with whatever majority would like, but I think people like the chat (??). I'm quite overwhelmed by the popularity of the threads really and feel quite amazed with how it's taken off, but it's all just a bit of fun and chat to help us save some money and find some lovely presents.

I also take the Thanks type of comments at the beginning of the thread more as place marking (although appreciate all the flowers thank you!) than people actively trying to thank me and take up messages. It seems there are alot of people following the thread and as such there are a fair few place markers.

Can we count that as an all finished and back to the bargains please? If you'd like to change the format or dynamics/organisation of the thread maybe we should have a thread to discuss what you'd like to do....?

Now, this is your warning, I'm updating OP tomorrow afternoon so if you chat too much before then you'll have a rehash of this OP until I update it in the afternoon. Oh, and I hope I don't seem or come across as precious about the thread here, I really don't mean to. I quite like doing the OP Blush and feeling like I'm helping people.

As you were, on with the sharing and christmas spirit.

pickofthepops oooooo whether to buy the ticket holder for my mum... She's specifically asked for a ck one but it is very green isn't it. Thanks for posting it, will have a think.

For the record I LOVE Isaac, I have no money and no time this year so she is my hero.

Littlemissexpecting · 11/10/2013 21:17

Iloveholidays m&s had a fair bit in today from biscuits, toys, gadgets, cards, decorations, alcohol gifts etc. boots have a lot in too

bymoonlight · 11/10/2013 21:20

Ok so shopping lists are fine

Lets go then.

I need a duplo train.

HoneyDragon · 11/10/2013 21:20

You know I was thinking only this week that this thread is much better than previous years.

Instead of lots of odd little posts popping up and cluttering active people just see and recognise these ones and can hide them. The Active convos is a lot less inundated with Xmas threads for people to hide, whether they do so for emotional reasons or like Maryz for homicidal ones.

Just shows we're all a bit different so best to go with the staus quo, eh?

bymoonlight · 11/10/2013 21:21

Anything hello kitty

AuntieMaggie · 11/10/2013 21:21

I've been mainly lurking but have got some bargains and enjoyed the chat too :)

I'm still waiting for my watch from the mag subscription, but have received just about everything else I ordered... Just the old men to sort out now...

I bought xmas bedding in Primark today £20 for king size set but didn't think much of their xmas jumpers (I would cook in one of those things) but they did have xmas tshirts too for £5. Unfortunately in my local store they were all size 6 Hmm.

bymoonlight · 11/10/2013 21:22

Something for a Man U fan.

glowsticks for stockings.

satsumas for stockings.

iloveholidays · 11/10/2013 21:22

Thanks Little.

Reastie thanks for your comments. My personal view is that as long as you're not getting annoyed by the number of threads then everyone is happy. If you do then just ask for help... I for one would happily attempt to do an OP if you're short of time (can't guarantee it would be as good mind)

Might venture out to actual shops tomorrow so will keep my eye out for everyone.

VeeVandTeaDrinkYourBlood · 11/10/2013 21:23

Mumtoone, I'm sure I've seen it at a better price somewhere. If you can hang on til tomorrow I'll have a look.

Fwiw, I like the threads as they are. I like the chat and the links. I don't use watch because I mn on my mobile and I forget about it, preferring TIO. And I hate the HUKD mobile site, its shit. So, if someone sees a deal on there and reposts, excellent.

RhondaJean · 11/10/2013 21:23

Fucksake you lot what's been going on, I only took the kids out for ice cream Hmm

Also picked up my box of awesome, bit more box of awwww to be honest but for nothing it will do.

The Christmas stuff is really hitting the shops now. Choc oranges £1 in Asda, normal white and popping candy. Sainsbos has all their gifts in but no sign of the 3 for 2 yet. They've got some lovely stuff; last year it went on 3 for 2 then one third off then half off and eventually 70 percent off but not a lot was left by then.

For the record, I do look at hukd but I'm quit happy to get a summary of. Good stuff on here and not have to plough through it. This WAS a lovely place to get excited about Xmas in peace can we please get back to it. Anyone who doesn't like the thread of course can, as with all threads, choose not to be part of it.
