I’m doing things a little differently this time - if lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Hope this works a bit better and please give me feedback Grin Thanks

we’ll need to start renting storage facilities to hide all this stuff the rate we’re going

mumtoone1 · 11/10/2013 19:56

Had to log on just to comment. I've been Following these threads that Reastie has created and i say created loosely as the deals appear to come from the users of mumsnet rather than one single poster. Issac has clearly helped so many people (more so than anyone else) even taken the time to answer individual requests!

My suggestion for this thread would be lets stops the repeats and the thanks and lets only post deals. It will stop all these personal attacks. 100 people thanking Reastie for creating a thread will only help her with the threads in the long run

pantshavenames · 11/10/2013 19:56

There are lurkers and posters and superstars on any thread surely. I have got many more bargains than I have ever posted back but I love hearing how anyone else is doing (and it validates me being nearly done when everyone else I know hasn't even started) may I say though, there seem to be too many women's beauty/fashion links to be completely credible that we are not shopping mostly a little for ourselves Smile

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 11/10/2013 19:56

Isaac its not you thats ruined anything, dont be sorry

Mamafratelli · 11/10/2013 19:57

Yawn.

Back to the bargains!!!

bymoonlight · 11/10/2013 19:58

And no I haven't been overlooked. I rarely post bargains on there tbh. But I do give credit to the correct people who took the time to find the deal and post it online because its saved me money and is only fair to do so.

This time last year this board was finding original deals and codes that weren't available elsewhere.

Now its just a bundle of HDUK deals.

HoneyDragon · 11/10/2013 19:59

That's bollocks about HDUK, all the members I know like it to spread far and wide, its great getting heat votes, but equally people will still post deals they know will get voted cold by all the arse sticklers as they know it will help someone.

I think a long hard think is required when 11 threads run fine and one person is the catalyst for a massive amount of flouncing.

Iamsanta · 11/10/2013 19:59

Yes, can we please just ignore an negative comments from a certain poster and carry on as we were? Pretty please.

This is my fav thread on mumsnet, can people try not to spoil it.

FairyJen · 11/10/2013 20:00

I'm really sorry guys. I just wanted to try and make dp smile Sad

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 11/10/2013 20:00

I agree - 5CTVUK is 5% off at The Entertainer, not much I know but might help somewhere, money saved is more money to be spent on Wine!

HoneyDragon · 11/10/2013 20:00

THIS thread wasn't here last year. And last year I posted several HDUK deals on here and no one gave me crap. Hmm

bymoonlight · 11/10/2013 20:02

People moan like mad when they get voted cold - they only want it spread and far wide to gain the credit.

See the MSE announcement today on the Grabbit board today about them joining Twitter. Outrage and uproar about it being spread 'far and wide'.

Maiyakat · 11/10/2013 20:03

I love this thread for the banter as much as the bargains. As a single mum stuck in on my own night after night it's nice to feel connected to other people who don't go to bed at 7pm! and I don't have a clue what HDUK is

janx · 11/10/2013 20:03

There only seems to be one poster having a problem with this thread...so what is the problem? Isaac is doing a great jpb as is everyone else who posts on here. There is a nice atmosphere and everyone else seems happy Thanks

FarOverTheRainbow · 11/10/2013 20:05

Isaac you've done a great job listing so many great deals please don't stop Wine

I like reading all the different posts and who's getting what ect...

By moonlight the majority of people like how this thread goes and enjoy it, it's just about getting in the Christmas spirit and your bringing it down, you do know you don't have to read it and if this thread is a problem for you then why don't you start your own with your rules instead of singling someone out repeatedly who is just trying to help please

Sooooo anyone have an update on the printers?

bymoonlight · 11/10/2013 20:07

I haven't got a problem at all.

There were discussions about how to cut down on the wasted posts. Such as not saying 'thanks reastie' a million times.

My suggestions were simply not to post personal shopping lists for things which only one person in the world will want.

I then pointed out that most people on here would do well to visit for HDUK if they like Issac's bargains as that's where most of them come from. They could also then thank the original finder of the deal. A win win situation.

Iamsanta · 11/10/2013 20:08

How many got they're asda delivery?

HoneyDragon · 11/10/2013 20:08

Well if its any consolation I voted a lot of the deals on here hot. So can we all be nice to Isaac as she has done some sterling work from her sick bed.

TheOneWithTheHair · 11/10/2013 20:09

FarOverTheRainbow no cancellation email yet. Grin

bymoonlight · 11/10/2013 20:11

Oh and while I'm 'upsetting everyone' there is a button at the top which allows you to 'watch' the thread so no one needs to post 'marking place' and waste even more space.

Mama1980 · 11/10/2013 20:11

Moonlight you've made your point but others don't agree, enough now please.
My printer order says dispatching on Monday....would be too good to be true but then I did get my asda delivery so I'm slightly more optimistic. Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 11/10/2013 20:12

Ok bymoonlight my last post on the subject. This thread is about camaraderie. Not just deals. This is not a deals website. Sorry you missed that!!

supermariossister · 11/10/2013 20:12

no cancellation email here either , ds wants the mutant ninja turtle lair but reviews say its shit quality and at almost ninety quid I'm not happy with that

mumtoone1 · 11/10/2013 20:12

For someone who is so precious about HDUK you should know its "HUKD"! (Hot UK Deals)....

hippoherostandinghere · 11/10/2013 20:13

It's HUKD. not HKUD. Sorry for being a pendant.

But bythemoonlight not everyone knows about it or checks it constantly. Some people flick onto this thread on their phone see a good deal and buy it. We don't all have time to check HUKD constantly so its nice of Issac to flag up the decent deals for us.

Don't piss on our Christmas spirit, there doesn't need to be rules. We know what this thread is for, if we want to chat while we're here it's not the end of the world.
