My Amazon orders page says despatching now, dispatch estimate monday 14th. This is going to be a long wait to see if the printer arrives! DP asked me to calm down the spending, I hope he forgives me I think we already have the wireless version, this might be perfect for his parents.

I don't know if it's still the case but in the past if you spotted an amazing bargain on amazon, it was worth spending the extra bit for immediate delivery because there was a much better chance that they would actioned your order before they realised that there was a pricing problem.

Whereas if it was in the normal despatch 'when we get to it' queue, they might have spotted their mistake and decide to cancel the order.

As I said, no idea how true it is these days but you can sort of see the logic in it and for something like a 99p printer, it would probably be worth forking out for. also if they don't honour the order, it's not like you would be paying the extra for postage anyway.

Might be worth bearing in mind if any other amazing amazon deals come up... (Or if anybody else out there can shed any light on how true this is?)

There wasn't an option to pay for faster delivery for me. DP is very happy, 'If it turns up it's staying in this house!'

Asda is here! Receipt says price I paid £2.97. I spoke with the guy and he said most were cancelled he has no idea whose is or why mine wasn't but he said that he had one other voucher delivery today so some went through.

It's found a news article saying a small number of shoppers benefitted from the Asda glitch but that they won't be honouring any outstanding orders don't think I'll be getting my champers and chocs. Ah well, was worth a try!

3 of my asda orders have been cancelled but 1 for delivery mon is still standing atm. It's the least exciting order though, dyou think it will flag it up if I change what's in my basket?
