Here we go people, the second bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

ewe Thanks for where's wally tip. Also bought child's utensil set reduced to £1.98 and Fresh Metal Slicker toy car £1

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2013 13:11

PJs are awesome from character.com. I have ordered more :-)

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 31/07/2013 13:48

Thanks to whoever posted about the vans sale, got some for my daughters.

Also, just wondering if sylvanian families would be good for a 4 year old? I've read a few reviews and it seems to be for older kids but then she likes lego and is getting some playmobil for her birthday so is used to little parts.

Kveta · 31/07/2013 14:09

if anyone is looking for a decent scooter for a 2-5 yr old, this Twist and Roll one is great - and an amazing offer too, as they are £40 elsewhere! they have the pink and blue ones in the offer. DS has had the blue one for 2 years, used it daily, and only because he decided to ride it down a slide, thus making it hit the ground at high speed a couple of weeks back, does it need replacing now!

ohfourfoxache · 31/07/2013 14:59

Hamley's has free delivery on orders over £50 with code OUTDOORFUN - ends today.....

I started a bit of a "tradition" with friend's older kids (I got them all big Hamley's cuddly animals for either birthday or Christmas presents over the years) and now she has had another two. Me and my bright ideas.....!!!

BerryLellow · 31/07/2013 15:20

Marking place :)

Reastie · 31/07/2013 15:46

sayhello my DDs friend who is nearly 3 has a sylvanian families house and families and loves them and should grow into them over time even more so I'd say it's a good bet - they're expensive for what they are though aren't they?

shufflebum · 31/07/2013 15:49

Thanks for the Playmobil dragon tipoff chocky

CaptainSweatPants · 31/07/2013 15:54

Can anyone tell me what the crabtree and evelyn offer is please?

hippoherostandinghere · 31/07/2013 16:00

Some reduced Christmas cards and decorations here. I like the Me to You letter to Santa set.

Haven't ordered from Studio cards before, not sure if you need an account or not.

Reastie · 31/07/2013 16:11

I ordered a few years ago from studio hippo but didn't think the quality was very goo. It may have since changed though.

Captain just tried the C&E link originally posted by platespinnermum on previous thread and it's no longer working so not sure if the sale is still live Hmm

OP posts:
FriskyHenderson · 31/07/2013 16:20

Super soaker half price

head torch - shame about the delivery but my 6&8 year olds love it

platespinnermum · 31/07/2013 16:23

Captain the Crabtree offer was a flash sale & ended a couple of weeks ago I think. I'm on their mailing list & they emailed me about it so maybe worth signing up for emails in case they do another one?

zipzap · 31/07/2013 16:24

Anybody wanting the doodle books - whilst they don't have the christmas one on the Book People at the moment, they usually have them before christmas and they do have lots of other ones on there at the moment - they're usually £2-4 and they have free delivery today if you spend more than £10. DS has the doodlepedia (£3.99) which is great and splat what's that - very similar - £2 instead of £10

So getting the Christmas one now at £6 sounds really expensive!

Also if you do buy things from the book people, if you get more than 3 deliveries in a year (I think - double check!) then you become a member of their passport club which means that you get sent extra offers and you get free delivery over £25 any time and you automatically get upgraded to next day delivery.

So if you're doing a big order, it's worth splitting into a couple of orders (so long as you are still getting your free delivery) and then you're closer to getting the free next day delivery in the future - very handy sometimes Grin

Boreoff · 31/07/2013 17:32

Very has a furby reduced from £60 to £45, if you open an account use code 3PHUE for a £20 discount off your first order (min order £50). I had 3 to buy so worked out great.

Fab thread by the way.

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 31/07/2013 17:44

Thanks reastie, just been looking online at some sylvanian sets and it does look pretty expensive. I don't know whether it's daft to start another collection since she's already getting lego and playmobil but I had sylvanian families when I was little and loved them so I'll keep a look out for any bargains.

shufflebum · 31/07/2013 17:45

Argh I didn't checkout properly and missed the Playmobil dragons dungeon, gutted!

Chockywockydoodah · 31/07/2013 17:49

I bought these two books for my nieces from the Works and they are really lovely, quality books, really happy I got them both (£2.99 each). One is a doodle ripple book with multicolour pen, the other a cute sticker/activity book.

Ripple Doodle

Sweet Scrap & Sticker book

Hippo - studio cards have some fantastic things and prices, but their customer service is really really poor. You order & pay later - but twice they've decided my promo code wasn't valid (it definitely was) & refused to accept it. It's very hard to talk to someone rational, they're often very rude, & it's actually hard to pay as they want you to go over credit time so they can charge interest!

hippoherostandinghere · 31/07/2013 18:41

Thanks 500 and Reastie I might stay clear of studio.

Has anyone's DC had one of those animagic pets or furreal friends? Any good for a 2.6 year old? any recommendations?

Mipe · 31/07/2013 19:02

SayHello if you go on HotUKDeals and set up a Deal Alert for Sylvanian Families it will tell you whenever there is anything going cheap, I have bought about 6 little sets all for under £5 over the last month or two :).

Mipe · 31/07/2013 19:16

If you are on Facebook I would recommend Webb Creations, they do lots of little personalised presents and are really good value. Last year I ordered quite a few of the signs ("Santa stop here for ..." etc) and they were really nice. They also do keyrings, coasters etc and they can put on anything you :).

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 31/07/2013 19:18

Thanks Mipe, didn't know you could set deal alerts so will do that now :)

iloveholidays · 31/07/2013 19:54

Mipe, that Webb Creations look really good!
