Winter party dress for DD5 - urgent help please

DD5 has lots of strappy thin summer dresses but sent her to a party today in jeans as couldn't think of anything else for her to wear.

She had school xmas disco on friday and 2 parties next weekend (and of course xmas). I'm going to take her shopping tomorrow. Any ideas where to go? Want to spend about £20 max.

Asda, bhs, peacocks, primark, H &M, Tesco and Next should all have something in your price range x

Just buy a few cardi's and leggings and stuck those with summer dress.

northcountrygirl · 01/12/2012 20:57

sadmum1000 · 01/12/2012 21:00

Thanks all. We've got a retail park near us with Next and H&M so maybe I'll try those.
lisad - that would be easiest but DD has always refused to wear leggings for some reason. Can't understand as she wears tights.

I went all out and got DD this one from H&M for her 4th birthday party.

She bloody loves it Grin

hf128219 · 01/12/2012 21:09

Yes, H&M. If you buy this weeks Grazia magazine for £1 there is a 25% discount voucher inside.

northcountrygirl · 01/12/2012 21:19

Wish I'd known that before hf - just bought loads from H+M online for all three kids!

hf128219 · 01/12/2012 21:21

Oh blast! Can you return it?

girlsyearapart · 01/12/2012 21:27

Came on to say that about the h&m grey/silver dress as I bought it for all three of my girls. (never usually dress them matching but was the only dress I liked!)

Wish I'd known that about the 25% off!

They had lots of sparkly tights too.

Also went to sainsburys and they had lovely dresses but the one I really liked they didn't have in the right size

sadmum1000 · 01/12/2012 21:27

I've got the xmas bumper edition - is that the one with the code in? (will have a rummage in the recycling bin if so:-)

fsmile
sorry - just trying to work out how to add smileys as never done before

OP posts:
sadmum1000 · 01/12/2012 21:29

didn't work, how do you do them?

fuzzpig · 01/12/2012 21:30

Love that h&m one tethers - is it easy care, machine washable etc?

I might also have a look in Debenhams, as they sometimes reduce really lovely ones. My mum usually gets DD a summer dress from the Matthew Williamson range, not looked for a winter one yet though.

hf128219 · 01/12/2012 21:31

Yep - page 126 for voucher.

fuzzpig · 01/12/2012 21:31

Have to put them in square brackets [ fsmile ] without spaces

fuzzpig · 01/12/2012 21:32

Ooh sparkly tights. Will definitely pop in, we are going to town tomorrow so will have to distract DD somehow!

hf128219 · 01/12/2012 21:34

Yes the sparkly tights are lovely. Gold, red, silver etc. The fabric looks rough on the outside but the insides are all soft!

sadmum1000 · 01/12/2012 21:36

Xmas Grin ooh thanks fuzzpig. This has bothered me for ages hope this works.
Where are the sparkly tights? Bought some lovely ones last year at M&S and put them somewhere safe but still not found them!
Forgot about debenhams. Blue zoo stuff is usually nice.

Sparkly tights are in h&m

Spent £50 in there today on the dds Xmas outfits- if I return it all can I buy it back there and then with the grazia voucher or is that a bit weird??

hf128219 · 01/12/2012 21:51

Girls - I don't see why not. Just be straight up with the sales assistant.

girlsyearapart · 01/12/2012 21:55

Ok.. (chicken..!)
Will do though as can use the saving to get my nieces birthday outfit..
