Flojo1979 · 24/11/2012 22:35

Flojo1979 · 24/11/2012 22:51

I succumbed to pressure today and gave them the Arthur Christmas DVD early!! Normally we go out for a walk/meal/visit someone - ie any pretence to get out the house and always make sure One f my dc is last out. Then my eight our pops over with 'the bag' with Xmas pjs/onesies last year, a DVD and popcorn. They like to make their own reindeer food and sort out snacks for Santa. Sad ow cos ds doesn't believe but still orders how the Xmas gift bag gets there!

Flojo1979 · 24/11/2012 22:54

Ah so its not from u then make its part of the build up, like the elves have left it or something? (eight our)?!

OP posts:
Glitterkitten24 · 24/11/2012 22:56

Mines has...
Christmas DVD x2
Christmas book for DS x2

Comfy Christmassy slipper socks for all of us
Reindeer food
Mulled wine spices
Gingerbread stars (the soft German stuff, can't remember the name of it)
A personalised stocking for DS
Matchmakers

I had to wrap it all up in cellophane last weekend to
A) stop me eating the sweets and having to replace them
B) stop me buying more and more and more stuff!

Flojo1979 · 24/11/2012 22:56

So what is the actually hamper?
Some sort of Christmas sack?

OP posts:
fanoftheinvisibleman · 24/11/2012 22:57

We did our Gingerbread house last christmas eve afternoon whilst watching Polar express. Last years was from Ikea and was lovely. However, we now have a 4 month old puppy so engineering a long shopping trip just for that would not be on.

We are going to try the one in Aldi this year instead.

Flojo1979 · 24/11/2012 22:57

Do u wrap the items up? In Xmas paper?

OP posts:
makemineapinot · 24/11/2012 22:58

The elves leave ours wrapped up in a Xmas gift bag x

Flojo1979 · 24/11/2012 22:58

Like hansel n gretel style?

OP posts:
Flojo1979 · 24/11/2012 22:59

makemineapinot · 24/11/2012 23:00
