Does anyone put their tree up super early?

I LOVE Christmas and love having the tree up. I always take it down a lot later than most people because I hate doing it!

So am thinking of the putting the tree up early this year...it's my home, I'll do as I please Grin. I also have the support of DP...I think!

So, when is yours going up?

The two (real.....just have to be real) trees go up on the first Sunday in December and come down the day after little Christmas! I can't wait I just adore Christmas!

About the 15th I think. A 4yo and a 9mo so the tree will have to go in the playpen which takes up the entire front room. I'm looking forward to taking the bugger down already!

1st weekend in December usually. We always get a real tree and it's always fine until Christmas, though the needles are a bit crispy by New Year! We usually take it down about 3rd Jan to give the living room a good clean and tidy before going back to work.

Last year was the first Christmas we had in a house. ( we had a one bedroom flat before that) so I went a bit mad and put it up mid November. I was just so excited to have loads of space to decorate and a fireplace Blush
I promised myself i wouldn't do it too early this year but I know I won't stick to that as it is babies first Christmas. No one else minds so i do as I please

First weekend in December. Probably on the Friday evening as the kids can't wait. I'm keen to get the decks up but very anti people's who don't wait until December, that seems to be becoming more common nowadays 😡

I think mine will be early December which is unusual for me. I'm quite excited this year I've only had a small slim line tree before because of the space in my living room. This will be my first Christmas in my house and I'm planning on a full size tree with plenty lights etc. There may also be candle arches/lights in the windows too Smile

I was getting very confused about the 3rd being a Monday... then realised this post was from a few years ago!

Our tree will probably go up Thursday the 30th this year as I'm running a Xmas Fete on the Friday and out all weekend the 2-3rd...

I don't understand putting tree up or down around someone's birthday. Especially adult?
With dd and bday is near Halloween and I have loads of Dec's so party stuff and Halloween stuff clashes but we are not bothered really it's just if we have a theme one year.. Don't have Halloween stuff. Dh wouldn't care about Xmas Dec's and his bday.

A friend dh had bday on boxing day and she was adamant because of this Dec's had to come down... Confused

Anyway, second week of December here... And comes down when I feel I can relinquish it Grin definalty don't work to dates.. Could be two three weeks into January could be soon after Xmas

First Monday in dec. Monday's are my day off and I intend to do it in peace when no one else is here to tell me how to do it.

I love a Christmas tree but I have it up quite briefly and I also enjoy my Christmas 'season' short and sweet so it will go up around the 20th and be gone on 2nd.

1st Saturday of December normally, but if the first of December falls on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday then it will go up last couple days of November. Comes down no later than 30th December to make room for our NYE party. 🎗

7th December as it's the crime of the century here to acknowledge Christmas before St Nicholas' day. Similarly, they have to be taken down by 6th Jan which is Epiphany.

All the men go out on weekend before Christmas and chop them down. We all decorate it together.

They all go up on the night of the 30th so when Ds wakes up on the 1st of December they are ready to be decorated.
