Does anyone put their tree up super early?

I LOVE Christmas and love having the tree up. I always take it down a lot later than most people because I hate doing it!

So am thinking of the putting the tree up early this year...it's my home, I'll do as I please Grin. I also have the support of DP...I think!

So, when is yours going up?

I think I'll put ours up on the 3rd and take it down on the 1st. I prefer to have it up earlier and take it down earlier.

Any time after 1st Dec but preferably on 1st Dec. It comes down around 5th / 6th Jan

Around the 1st December and take it down on Boxing Day or at some point between Christmas and New Year.

My rule is this, 1 November - need to think about Christmas presents. 1 December, it's Christmas time - knock yourself out with any and all things Christmas. I don't enjoy Christmas myself, but do lots of Christmassy things and have family traditions a plenty.

I put mine up as soon as my partner will let me and I refuse to take it down for a very long while after Christmas because it's depressing Grin

We put ours up at the beginning of December and always take it down on the 6th.

I don't I'm a wiccan, I'll put wood Yule decorations out the week before Yule which is the 21st December this year and take them down before new year's day.
I have wooden handmade items but I'd never drag a tree inside to die in my house, it would be very disrespectful.

1st Sunday in December! We have Christmas music on and a big Sunday dinner! So excited!!!

Usually the weekend before Christmas but I'm away that week so might be a little earlier. I usually get all the decorations down and put them up before I buy the tree though.
I usually take it down on the day before I go back to work

Usually the week leading up to Christmas. I plan what I'm going to put on the tree well in advance.

We get ours on DH first day off during the first week of December normally (he doesn't have set days off or weekends off so it varies every year) however chances are it may be later this year due to DS2 due the last week of November!

I'll decorate everywhere else in the house (hopefully) before he makes an appearance though.

Not till about a week before, because we like real trees and they can start to look a bit sad by Christmas if put up early. I like ours still nice and fresh on the day.

However I do put a small real one with lots of lights outside the front door on 1st December. That is also when I make the first batch of mince pies (they don't last long with Dh around) and put a CD of carols on!

Depending on my mood, probably around some time in November. Grin

We got a new fake tree this year (the old one was a cheapie 18 years ago!) so we will not be buying a real one even though we are staying at home this year.

Because its' fake though, I may get away with putting it up a little earlier than usual, maybe 9/10th December. Not guaranteed though.

we celebrate Dutch SinterKlaas on 5th, (which is nothing to do with Christmas)
so we never put the tree up before then.

Ds birthday on 14th, he used to get the choice tree up before or after, but now it always goes up on the next weekend after 5th.

Down before twelth night. Often before school goes back

Mid December. Definitely by solstice. I get the lights and other decs out on 1st Jan for advent but the tree, because it's always a fresh one, has to wait until nearer the time.

Two weekends before Xmas day.

We go to a local estate, where you can choose your own and they will cut it down for you. 🎄🎄🎄
