We have an angel, ds 1 wants a star, I don't want star, I like my angel.

Why am I so pregnant and hormonal set on my angel, should I get a star?

I have a fairy in red with ginger hair at the moment. I've thought about replacing it with a star as i think it might look better, but I haven't found a star I like. I'm not keen on angels.

I have a fibre optic fairy... she is lovely all in white and not tacky, oh no

beingginger · 28/10/2012 19:35

We have a star but I want an angel this year.

MissPricklePants · 28/10/2012 19:42

Jack Skellington dressed as Sandy Claws is my tree topper!

Pascha · 28/10/2012 19:49

A big gold star that falls forward all the time. No angels here.

safflower · 28/10/2012 19:49

I have an angel which DS made at nursery when he was 3. He is 16 now. I like the bits which the children have made on the tree.

oldraver · 28/10/2012 19:49

I am tempted by the whole TNBC rangefor DS's tree but will probably wait a while

Flisspaps · 28/10/2012 19:50

Can you not put a star behind your lovely angel?

PrincessPumpkinshoutsBOO · 28/10/2012 20:53

Ooh, a star behind the angel (which is lovely thank you) that could work :)

My parents have an ancient, creepy angel which has made me a lifelong star aficionado.

GwendolineScaryLacey · 28/10/2012 21:04

Star. Angels are wrong. My mother nearly cancelled Christmas the year I suggested having Fr Christmas on the top :)

NickyNackyNooNoo · 28/10/2012 21:06

We have an angel attached to a star circa 1980, sentimental attachments & I have to put it on! Kids can do everything else Grin

ladymariner · 28/10/2012 21:20

Star here. Took ds to a Christmas shop when he was tiny, and he picked it up and hung on to it, and that was that, it's been at the top of the tree every year since. The angel that used to be there has been relegated to the tree that stands in the porch but she has to be tied on as it's a bit draughty there for her....

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 28/10/2012 21:22

we have an angel here.. has taken me some time to find the right one.

hazeyjane · 28/10/2012 21:22

fairy on main tree, star on top of little tree in the girls bedroom. both homemade and overly glittery.

3bunnies · 28/10/2012 22:22

Star here, but thinking it is looking a bit tatty (just silver foil on a cereal packet) dd1 and I made it about 5yrs ago in a panic dh has got a Christmas tree and we have nothing to go on the top and no money might go and look on pinterest for ideas for new homemade star.

MrsBovary · 28/10/2012 22:24

We have a vintage 1950s fairy.

JennyPiccolo · 28/10/2012 22:25

A reindeer! He's quite jolly.

MrsRhettButler · 28/10/2012 22:34

I always use a star but would love an angel or fairy but I can't find any beautiful enough.

Has anyone seen any very beautiful ones?

MrsRhettButler · 28/10/2012 22:35

NeverKnowingly where did you get yours and is it beyootiful?

marriedinwhite · 28/10/2012 22:39

I have an Angel. She belonged to my grandparents and is divinely pretty with a beautiful gold dress. I have no idea how old she is but she was around when I was a little girl and my mum remembers her when she was a little girl (30s).

PrincessPumpkinshoutsBOO · 28/10/2012 22:42

I never thought about anything else for the top like a reindeer or Santa, growing up we had a star that lit up and was the most awful luminous yellow/green (I think it was supposed to be gold). I remember loving that star, but always wanted an angel instead.
