Star or Angel? What goes on the top of your tree?

We have an angel, ds 1 wants a star, I don't want star, I like my angel.

Why am I so pregnant and hormonal set on my angel, should I get a star?

I have a star, all gold and tinselly and covered in flower-shaped lights. It's incredibly wonderfully tacky and I love it. One day a bulb will go and I won't be able to replace it, or it will just stop working, and I will get a classy pretty star instead.

One year I dressed my DS Action Man in a purple 'dress' made of foil wrapping paper with a ribbon sash. He had black 'glove' hands so looked quite fetching.

I tied him to the top of the tree rather than shoving the top branch up his skirt

I've got two stars which are the same, but one gold and one silver which are lit with fairy lights - they came from Woolies several years ago.

I did get a silver angel a while back, but I am very attached to the little fairy that has always sat on the top of my parents tree which I think dates back to at least the late 1960's, so until that comes my way I'm sticking with the stars as no other fairy/angel seems quite right.
