Christmas Eve Hamper - have I forgotten anything?

I'm planning on starting a hamper for the DDs (3.9, 1.9 and DD3 due in 2 weeks) this year for Christmas Eve. I have/planning on getting the following. Have I forgotten anything?

PJs
Personalised Face Cloths
Bubble bath or bath bomb
Maybe a couple of bath toys - which have been put aside for stocking
Cadburys animal biscuits or chocolates
Letter from FC - although not sure if I should do this earlier in the month?

Christmas DVD/Book - I'm planning on giving these earlier in the month to make more use out of them.

Any other suggestions, don't want to go too mad/create a 2nd stocking (which is already rammed for Christmas morning :))

Good list Iloveholidays. What about some snowman soup (white hot choc + marshmallows), Christmas mugs, and some popcorn. I have bought the Cadbury Options sachets of white hot choc for about 30p each at Tesco.

some homemade oats and glitter mix in a little sachet (sandwich bag or tiny giftbag) for reindeer food!

My DC are much older than yours (they will be 13yo DS and 10.6 DD by Christmas)
I do main gifts (under the tree) stocking gifts for Christmas morning and the Christmas Eve Hamper.

Lovely box to open and we left it by the fire for after the Christmas Eve walk.

Slippers
An annual
A Lush BathBomb (but this goes on the box otherwise it stinks everything out)
A sachet of Instant Cadburys Hot Chocolate.
Last year they got mugs (Santa and Snowman )with spoons
Marshmallows for DD
A small packet of mini biscuits
A bag of sweets (lollies,jelly,chewey sweets). They get selection boxes for their stockings.

And a bag of Reindeer Food (oats, sugar coloured purple with food colouring and Edible Glitter Stars) which sat on the lawn like a clump of vomit so I won't do that again.

Christmas Eve Hamper is a nice wind-down, bath,PJs , read, drink, biscuit and (hopefully) early night.

Yje DVDs /Books and Letter- yes I'd do them earlier to build up the excitment. Maybe a few days before?

Thanks everyday. We're going to make some reindeer food during the build up so wasn't sure if that should go in the hamper...? Was going to make a little box up for FC and the reindeer, i.e. food, mince pie, drink, carrot etc

I'll have a look at hot chocolate... DDs are more likely to enjoy a chocolate milkshake :)

Thanks 70, think I'll have to get a festive mug/cup although again I feel like I'd get more use out of it if I give it to them earlier in the month!!

An annual is a good idea, maybe I'll get DD1 a magazine rather than put it in her stocking so she has something to look through. Don't think they'd use slippers much although I had thought about that.

I was thinking of getting a couple of Festive gift bags to put them in.

All these are things for stockings - why would you complicate things by doing both? . Xmas eve is about traditions, but these dont have to mean buying stuff!

A christmas eve hamper is a tradition to some people. Just like Elf on the Shelf. I disagree it's complicated, but I do accept that it's more effort. Reindeer food suggestion would be inappropriate (and late) in stockings .

Here here, I'm proud to be nuts!! I just want to spread the excitement over a few days rather than be bombarded all on Christmas Day and this is going to be a tradition for us. I'm not buying anymore, just taking some stuff out the stocking really and giving it to them the night before.

I'm just thinking of the added cost! Or the smalller looking stockings, if you're just giving a day early. We do a small pressie which hangs on the tree to be opened xmas eve, else they cant contain themselves!! Then we just play a game after all having baths, and thats about it really

24 books wrapped up with a Christmas them, one for each night before Christmas

Can you tell how excited I am about Christmas?! I enjoy the run up to Christmas far more than the day itself -(my mother ruined it for me years ago so am making my own memories now)

I don't do hampers but if I did it would include

New pyjamas
Slippers
Dressing gown
Bed covers
Snow man soup
A Christmas book like twas the night before christmas
A Christmas DVD
Gingerbread reindeers
Popcorn to watch DVD with

I don't have enough money but if I could that's what I'd do.

My kids usually get a decoration each too

I got the christmas pudding hot choc from whittards over the weekend... and a bug bag of candycane marshmallows!!!

Boxing Day hamper? Alkaseltzers, ear plugs and new batteries for all the toys which have run out!

I tend to have totally different things in the hamper compared to stockings

Stockings inc little toys, stickers, tattoos, toothbrushes, knickers etc

Hamper is things for us to share on Xmas eve so- new pjs, Xmas movie, popcorn, Xmas cup, hot choc, sweets, wine and Chocs for adults, Xmas theme bubblebath and Xmas story book.

I bought new PJ's and slipper socks for the Christmas Eve hamper (which I've only heard of on MN, and never done before). They needed new PJ;s last week when the weather cooled. So they already have them.

Stockings have to have bubble bath/ a bath bomb in them. It's the Christmas law, so they will be having their usual bubbly bath on Christmas Eve (their new bubbles in their stocking can be used between Christmas and New Year, so still spreading Christmas out over the 12 days)

On Christmas eve we will have hot chocolate with marshmallows, a bubbly bath and some TV (probably one of the Christmas DVDs we get out once a year like Polar Express or Miracle on whatever St - I have quite a collection built up over the years).

We'll sprinkle glitter and porridge oats reindeer food and go to bed.

No bloody hamper around here.

And we have that many relatives to get through, my DC will have more presents every day until new years ever. Then on 2nd of January it's DSs birthday.

The first on January is usually rather dull. Maybe I should do a New Year Hamper!
