Christmas presents for an 8 year old boy - what are you all getting?

I'd love to hear your suggestions. My ds is not the asking type and I never know what the other kids are asking for. DS is not sporty. He's very academic, loves maths, science, music, secret codes and cycling.

Ds 8.5 will be getting an iPod touch after lots of debate between dh and I. It is very expensive, so not much else this year. I've asked all the children to do a list and put their wildest dreams on it and top of the list is a dog...so an iPod is way easier to cope with!

Also the flipper connect 4 which he will love to play with siblings, Lego technics, wii dc super heroes ( from gps)

Ds who is 5 would like a giant lolly and fluffy socks

Dd 3 wants a yoyo (a la peppa pig who asked for this at Christmas)

I'm sure when I was a kid I asked for loads of stuff...never got it though but it was great to ooh and aah over an Argos catalogue!
