Mine was icing sugar at nine o'clock-tesco ran out! Two corner shops later... Mind you we never eat Christmas cake til January so not sure I really needed to dash out.

Curry sauce for left over turkey - but as we have no turkey (see my other thread) it was a particularly wasteful journey as was the day I went christmas shopping, bought nothing, but aquired a parking ticket. I hope this is not an omen for 2012.Xmas Shock

craftynclothy · 24/12/2011 23:47

Well, I decided to make stocking for all 4 of us yesterday and finished them today...then realised I had nothing to hang them on from the mantelpiece so went looking for hangers. Eventually ended up with some cheap plastic clip things for hanging lights to the outside of your house. Keeping my fingers crossed they don't fall down during the night Xmas Hmm.

Also picked up a few little bits to go in them.

ScorpionQueen · 25/12/2011 00:05

A bottle of coca cola because I wasn't convinced the ham would work in diet coke.
Xmas Smile

AngryFeet · 25/12/2011 00:13

Good thing scorpion, I believe it is the sugar that makes it so diet coke wouldn't work :)

ScorpionQueen · 25/12/2011 00:15

That's what I thought.
:)

18.30 DH announces we were supposed to take a case of wine to the DPIL's Hmm.

spamm · 25/12/2011 01:33

Beer and proper sausages. Beer, because we had an impromptu party last night with neighbors to inaugurate our new bar, so needed to restock. And sausages from the irish pub up the road (in the USA) because we fancied sausages, mash and onion gravy for dinner, a reminder of home

HollyPricklesMyFanjo · 25/12/2011 01:35

Very boring....brown bread! The kids get through so much the loves I got on Tues have run out. Glad we found some, they won't eat white bread!

HollyPricklesMyFanjo · 25/12/2011 01:36

FFS loaves

TheCatInTheHairnet · 25/12/2011 01:38

Spamm, mine was a run to the Irish butchers to get almost English sausages too!!

TheCatInTheHairnet · 25/12/2011 01:39

Also in the USA by the way. Otherwise that sounds weird Wink
