Does broccoli belong in a christmas dinner?

I'm trying to decide what veg to do. So far:
Roast tats
Roast parsnips and carrots
Red cabbage

what else? Don't want spouts

I prefer green beans, the long thin ones, you can wrap them up in bacon and they are delicious.

we do broccoli and also mushrooms. and kale. and cauliflower.

Anything goes as long as people will eat it.
(I bloody hate peas and carrots - roast carrots are fine, but boiled are bloody disgusting)

No. Potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, green beans, carrots, peas. Broccoli takes up too much room!

well.... it's just me and the dc this year and if they don't want veg, thats fine! Although dd (8) has specifically asked for (raw) carrots and brocolli!

Yes! Alongside carrots (a viche) sprouts, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, aunt bessie parsnips (as I cremate my own) sweetcorn, roast and mashed tats.

We always have yorkshire puddings too as everyone requests them

Growing up we had peas, carrots, brussels, parsnips, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and sometimes cauliflower cheese.

I do the above but without the cauli cheese (none of us like it) and add brocolli ('cause I love it) and green beans (one of the few veggies my veg-phobic DS likes.

I'm always open to veggie suggestions, though. Grin

Sprouts, carrots and peas.

We are having Aunt Bessies parsnips too with I am Blush about but mine always go soggy!

I a generally a bloody good cook so my parsnip failure is hard to swallow.. literally!

2 veg?!?!?! thats just wrong

we have about 6 normally - love the variety and how it brightens up the plate, options include:

swede and carrot mash - a must in this house
roasted butternut squash - as above
braised red cabbage
carrots
cauliflower cheese
green beans (or runner beans or whatever the hell they are!)
honey roast parsnips

Its part of the gluttoous fun of Christmas dinner, surely? Loadsa (lightly steamed Grin) veg, at least two types of stuffing, two types of meat (turkey/ham, duck/goose etc) and, for our greedy family, two types of potato, too.

Mandatory, surely?
