I'm trying to decide what veg to do. So far:
Roast tats
Roast parsnips and carrots
Red cabbage

what else? Don't want spouts

Will have to be beef fat this year- I refuse to set foot in another shop or supermarket this side of Xmas. Am interested in the weirdo semolina trick though shirley! Please tell.

When caviar is good it really is good. Those salty little eggs, popping between your teth.
Delicious.

I love broccoli, but not in Christmas dinner. Doesn't mush up enough.
We are having roast potatoes (usually mash as well but not this year), carrot and swede, cauliflower cheese, peas, roast parsnips, and savour cabbage with Bacon. Controversially dropping sprouts this year!

quite frankly - to me, a roast dinner, or a christmas dinner should have whatever vegetables on it that the family will eat.
I spent my childhood being forced to eat fucking horrible veg with no alternative, so if my child wants a satsuma on her christmas dinner, that's what she'll get.
