DH's Xmas present - I'll get him whatever gets the most MN votes!

DH is stubbornly refusing to give me any ideas for his Xmas present and also rejecting any ideas that I come up with. I think he's toying with rejecting materialism.

So time is running out (I have to order on the internet as I hate shopping) and I have told him I'm going to appeal to the power that is MN and they in their wisdom can decide what he's getting for Christmas. He, in response, has shrugged his shoulders and grunted.

So ladies (and gentlemen) - I'll get him whatever you decide, whatever gets the most votes. Just so you know, we have a very small flat and my budget is £100 or under.

Well if he won't give you ant ideas and doesn't want the things you suggest then I'm afraid there is only one solution....

Buy something for yourself, wrap it up and give it to yourself on Christmas morning

he's just got a kindle, wannabe, otherwise that'd be top of my list, any other ideas? He doesn't want theatre tickets, night out, clothes....

a tree - it doesn't clutter the house, it's not stuff. your locl council might have a tree planting scheme so you could have it in a local park if you don't have room at your gaff.

I second an Oxfam gift - or just put the £100 towards a charity of your choice. He doesn't want anything, he can't be arsed to suggest anything - don't just fritter the money on random tat which internet strangers suggest. If you want to spend it, make it be worthwhile.

I like the Oxfam idea and the tree idea. But DH is starting to have some ideas now, he quite likes the Amazon idea. He also says he wants some kind of mask to wear while he's cycling (I said he could have a tea towel)

Oo I like the idea of a Swiss Army knife...I got DH one th first year we were a couple and he went Hmm but then soon afterwards he realised how ace it was...he loves it still!

LOl! Just asked DH if he wanted a flying lesson, he said 'no!' as if I'd asked him if I could pour a cup of tea over his crotch!
