Do you lot know NOTHING about Fathers Christmas?

All this fussing about how to explain where presents come from, why you have to thank people when they came from FC? Are none of you properly versed in the Christmas truth?

FC brings the presents that go in the stockings. Presents under the tree are from everyone else.

Glad we got that sorted.

It's FC not social reality - as far as my DC are aware all children get Christmas presents, there's enough time for them to realise that life isn't quite like that.

I've always been the same as the OP. If children think that Father Christmas gives them all their presents, including the under the tree ones, who do they know who to thank?

The dcs get the sack of 'bits and bobs' from santa and one present, this year dd has kiddiminiz, ds has nerf gun. And from me and dp, dd a cot and a doll and ds beyblades and stadium and Zurg. Doubt I've spent £100 on both we are on a tight budget though.

Santa brings everything. Apart from stuff from grans, aunties, uncles etc.

It's all made in his workshop with elves who munch on candy canes all day.

I thought fc was finished when ds asked for the truth this year. Oddly enough now it's getting close he's decided he believes again... Maybe hoping for extra pressies on top of those from us? :-)
