DD has had all manner of 'homes' for small plastic figures.

Littlest Pet shop, Kitty in my Pocket etc...

I have done a bit of father xmas shopping, and am getting her an mp3 player from me.

The treehouse is £20. I said this to her, then she said,' but mummy father xmas makes everything, he doesn't BUY thing'!!!. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbahhumbug

dd loves the plastic dolls like polly pocket, barbie etc and all their playsets which come with HUNDREDS of pieces! I admit i do buy them all though as she plays with them for hours- i just have to re-set them daily so as not to lose them- time consuming and annoying!

The chocolate coin makers/ ice cream maker etc are very annoying!
Moxie girls - can get in B&Ms for £5!
Any creative toy that costs over £10 as gone once you've made it! I still get them (cause sants would!) but get loads form TXMAXX though for 3rd of the price

My eldest wants the Bakugan Dragonoid Colossus. £40 for a small box of breakable plastic bits that won't be nearly as much fun as the TV ad promises.

If he was an only, I'd buy it, but I can picture the scene on Christmas morning when he unwraps this tiny box of dissapointment, and the others have more/bigger boxes of more appealing stuff.

I'm hoping it might be reduced somewhere. Or by some bizarre fluke, I might spot one at a boot sale/charity shop.

ditavonteesed · 24/10/2011 08:11

as the sucker who bought 2 (yes you read that right 2) go go my walking fucking shit puppy shit last year I would say get it. Ok they were a complete rip off, and dont get played with much, OK we actually had a puppy at the time and their demands of but it walks, but it barks were met with well what do you think this thing does. It was so worth it because they loved that santa brought them what they really wanted, what they had asked for and mummy had told them no way would santa bring them that tosh when they already have their own puppy, but he did.

I am starting to worry that with dd1 being 8yo we may not have long left, you know santa wise, so I am bigging it up.
Although to be fair they dont seem to want anything particularly this year.

piratecaaaaaaaaaghhht · 24/10/2011 17:27

ThePumpkinKing, I've just bought Dragonoid Colossus from Smyths Toy Superstore, its on sale for £29.99 the the moment.............still probably £20 more than its worth, but he HAS been on about it for a good two months now....just hoping he doesnt go off the idea between now and Christmas! (And its in a bigger box than I expected Grin)

ThePumpkinKing · 24/10/2011 18:59

Thank you TwoNoisyBoys!

There is a Smyths about 20 minutes from here, and I've been hearing about this dragonoid for ages too - not helped by the episodes and adverts for Bakugan on CITV Grin.

TwoNoisyBoys · 24/10/2011 19:08

Glad to help! If you go online first, there's an "on shelf promise" option so you can almost guarantee it'll be in stock when you get there.....I think they give you £7 if you turn up and its not there...........www.smythstoys.com/InStock_Guarantee.aspx Worth doing if you have to travel a bit to get there.
