anyone care to add - i wish i had this kind of list when my dc were little and i could have saved a fortune since i've bought most of this tat at some point over the last 11 years!

oh and can i add - password journal - 3 we've had and not one can uinderstand our accent

Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom Castle - tiny pieces, rubbish stickers to make it look like one on outside of the box, all bits lost or broken in less than a week - not through DS being silly just a hopeless rip-off toy.

Anything large that can not be stored outside is the first thing off the top of my head.

Lego. My poor feet cannot take anymore pain.

Cheap alternatives to Lego!

My side of the family bought ds a load of something very similar to lego and marketed as "compatable with the leading brands", but it's no where near as good and has gradually been "lost" over the past 8 months.

Falso economy.

My dd's are now thankfully past this stage, but anything with nylon hair (dolls, heads, ponies etc) that you can 'style'..no no no! Oh yes it all looks lovely on the advert and it starts off ok but within a few days is a ball of tangled frizz. faces all round.

For ds - never ever again R/C flying toys. We've had loads and they always crash, break, won't work, get taken back.

Polly Pocket- cheap crap (dolls ok).
Moxie girls (ditto)- hair gets in a state quickly, we only coloured it once before chucking it. Liv dolls are better quality and come with wigs.
Barbie: ditto (cheap crap)

Curlycat what accent do you have? DD1 due to get password journal for her birthday in a couple of weeks.

Anything with Peppa Pig on it. Such poor quality toys.

mcfee - central scotland and honeslty if you've not bought it don't - you're better off with a diary and a padlock from poundland!!

Any of the "Happyland" stuff from ELC. Breaks almost straight away.

Disagree about happyland ours has lasted for years, I agree about anything food related-chocolate coin machines etc they are all rubbish !

Also having to start thinking about making sure that each dc has one each of a present now that ds2 (3) is old enough to want to play with what his big brother gets.

Some Dr Who inside the Tardis thing. It was assembled, then dis-assembled, then all the parts drifted away and I kept finding odd pieces.
Not worth the hassle.

Oh and anything that makes a noise that can't be switched off

Zhu-zhu pets. They eat carpet and die within 24 hours.

Anything with tv/movie characters branding. Is all cheap shit, esp Ben and holly and peppa pig. Over priced babydolls. Kids just as happy with the ones that cost a fiver.

I'm so easily pleased, we have liked moon sand and moon dough, chocolate rotator maker and zhu zhu pets!
