Our youngest 2.5 has LOVED the wooden eggs in a box that we got from John Lewis.

Other hits include:

toy money for our cash register that had toy money in it when it was new about 5 years ago!

random duplo figures with hair from ebay

bath crayons

(struggling to remember anything that was in ds's stocking)

What've been hits with your lot?

A yoyo
A bracelet
Chocolate coins (espec a hit as they are special dairy-free ones)

ongakgak · 06/02/2011 19:31

This is the stuff what my 2 year old DS loved the most

individual mini figures from lego
mr happy plate, knife, spoon and fork
cookie cutters

snice · 06/02/2011 19:33

bath bombs
tub of mini marshmallows
calenders with pictures of cute puppies

Ooopsadaisy · 06/02/2011 19:33

Bubble bath
make-up
earrings
stationery
socks
cricket ball
itunes voucher

DS got some condoms as a joke - I think he had to explain them to his father.

TrollyMcTrollPants · 06/02/2011 19:33

My two DS have been obsessed with the cheapy Christmas musical toys which came from the supermarket. A Mouse and a Snowman who sing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" when squeezed. Still going strong! Quite annoying though! Grin

nymphadora · 06/02/2011 19:34

Cake mix

TheGoddessBlossom · 06/02/2011 19:35

harmonica
slinky spring thing (you know what I mean)

DirtyMartini · 06/02/2011 19:35

The Wriggler - a two-inch bit of green fluff from John Lewis pocket money section.

DS also got Brio trains and Playmobil but if you ask him what Santa brought it's all about The Wriggler.

fishandlilacs · 06/02/2011 19:35

whizzy helicopter thingy's.

I dont know how to explain them but you pull the trigger thing and the rota bit flies off into the air.

magna · 06/02/2011 19:36

I am with onga on the individual lego figures for my DSs 5 and 2 and also a toy that was called boogez (or something similar) plastic nose filled with goo and a monster. Disgusting but hours of fun [yuck emoticon]

snice · 06/02/2011 19:40

you can't beat a whoopee cushion IMO

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 06/02/2011 19:42

Hand buzzer
Paper gliders
Lego torch
GoGo's

tassisssss · 06/02/2011 19:43

Keep them coming, these are fab.

I'm actually thinking 8 year old boy party bag toys too, some great ideas here!

Ooopsadaisy · 06/02/2011 19:44

Aaaah. So the condoms are not under consideration then?

PatTheHammer · 06/02/2011 19:52

DS (2) is obsessed with a little wind-up dog (it does backflips) and a Bee. They were £1.50 from the garden centre.

DD (4)loved her magic expanding flannel (?) and a pocket-sized volcano.

My two went to a party today and got some paper lazers in their party bags. DD (and DH and meBlush) have played with them all afternoon!

PatTheHammer · 06/02/2011 19:55

Sorry, paper lazers here

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 06/02/2011 19:58

A packet of A3 paper
Some paint brushes
Some paint
UHU GLue
Glitter

et voila...

messy happy kids (and one slighlty stressed wall scrubbing mummy)

Sterling · 06/02/2011 19:58

Stretchy dinosaurs. Anything dinosaur related is a big hit with DS (2.5).

mychildrenarebarmy · 06/02/2011 20:00

Ds (3) and DD (7)
flannels that open out when you put them in water
bubble bath
books
DS also loves the bread flour Father Christmas brought him.

PatTheHammer · 06/02/2011 20:07

Yay, another vote for magic flannels!!!

Who would have thought that it was only going to cost £1.60 to get my DD to wash her face without shrieking like a banshee!

NorbertDentressangle · 06/02/2011 20:10

Jar of Marshmallow Fluff
Tins of neon coloured plasters
Squirty foamy soap

but....best of all....as it is every year...

Fart Putty

GabySolis · 06/02/2011 20:10

My 3 year old loved the little books sets you can get, these types www.amazon.co.uk/Spot-Little-Library-Baby-Books/dp/0723263418/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1297022948&sr=8-1
sorry don't know how to do a little link lol!
also a rubber duck for the bath, felt tip pen set from poundland, sheet of stickers (which he decided to decorate everything including himself in!)

hugebelly · 06/02/2011 20:12

satsumas
skipping rope
bath oils that look like marbles

BeatriceLaBranche · 06/02/2011 21:09

It's technically cheating because it was £6, but the lego torch DS got has been fab and played with loads.

IreneHeron · 06/02/2011 21:10

Bubble mix and jumping beans.
