National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is very funny

panettoinydog · 14/12/2010 18:38

never seen that, crazy. Might be one to get.

I love Christmas Carol - Alistair Sim, the musical with Finney, the latest animation with Carey. I just love the story.

c0rnsillky · 14/12/2010 18:40

Sick of the Snowman now
Polar Express

taffetazatyousantaclaus · 14/12/2010 18:40

Fred Claus was on C4 a few weekends back - we all loved it. I think it was Vince Vaughn in the lead, also Kevin Spacey, Miranda Richardson.

pinguwings · 14/12/2010 18:43

ELF!!! I do love a good bit of that cotton eared ninnymuggins.

mogs0 · 14/12/2010 18:55

I think I love them all!!

I haven't seen Polar express but I think I saw it in the RT so I will mark it out for our Christmas viewing.

I bought Miracle on 34th st in a car boot last Summer so have that ready to watch once school breaks up.

Also, I bought ds the Home Alone box set to have on Christmas Eve. He's seen 1 and 2 but not 3 and 4.

Elf is a huge favourite in this house!

Jinglesomeballs · 14/12/2010 19:00

mogs0 · 17/12/2010 12:41

I'd better go and check the RT again to make sure I know when it's on and don't miss it!

Life was so much simpler when there were only 4 tv channels. It was a lot easier to remember which programme was on which channel and less chance of there being 4 things you wanted to watch on at the same time!

Do I sound ancient?!!! Grin

MrsCratchit · 17/12/2010 12:57

Muppets Christmas Carol...!

Goldfrankincenseandmyrrhberry · 17/12/2010 18:44

Not quite a movie, but The Box of Delights. It was on tv when I was about 12 and I now watch it every Christmas, usually all in one sitting, preferably the day I put the tree up. I'm word perfect. It drives dh mad. Grin

ReshapeWhileDamp · 17/12/2010 18:46

Muppets Christmas Carol and Love, Actually. Blush

Also, am I the only one who thinks of Star Wars as a Christmas film? Not content, but it was ALWAYS on! Grin
