I've just put A Nightmare before Christmas on for the DCs because the Littlewoods adverts have been annoying me, and they're sitting there transfixed atm. That's a huge improvement on the Home Alone films which they love and laugh like drains at.

goldfrankincenseEt.al... (merryberry?)- I love The Box of Delights! It is fantastic (my 2 are too young for it yet... I am counting down the christmases Grin
We have the music (Hely-Hutchinson's Carol Symphony) - always on when we're dressing the tree- sooooo Christmassy!

Goldfrankincenseandmyrrhberry · 18/12/2010 16:38

CaptainNancy - apologies for the lengthy name, I'm normally Goldberry, but added the frankincense and myrrh! I decided this year that dd (age 5) was old enough. We're watching it in episodes as I don't think she'd manage it in one go! I love all the old-fashioned slang. 'Well if that isn't the purple pim!' (whatever that means) Grin We've got the carol symphony too.

CaptainNancy · 18/12/2010 19:26

No need for apologies! Must drive you mad when you need to log in though... Grin

Home Alone 1 and 2. Home Alone 3&4 are rubbish.

Haribojoe · 18/12/2010 21:13

Polar Express

Home Alone (kids have watched it at least once a day while at home convalesing this week)

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

Love Actually

Home Alone -I cry every time the mum is reunited at the end. That little boy is my little boy to a T,have lost him countless times. He's good at inventions too Grin

Saw Polar Express for the first time this weekend - Really didn't like it! Am I missing something? I usually love Christmas films, but I just found it a bit creepy! DS seems to have taken to it though so I've seen it 3 times since Friday Shock.

My favourites are:
Muppets Christmas Carol
Miracle on 34th Street (original version)
All I want for Christmas

and my favourite not-necessarily-kids-xmas-films are:

It's a Wonderful Life
Wizard of Oz
Sleepless in Seattle
Scrooged
