Thank you for your message. For me, I get my house clean ready for Sabbath as cleanliness is important to our God. I will make sure I have done all clothes washing also (so I donβt have a mountain to do on Sunday). All other stuff, like if the bin needs emptied on Sabbath I will do as it is essential. We have to remember,, the ordinances of men were nailed to the cross, so thatβs all the stuff the Jewish added to His law (which made it a chore, our God created Sabbath so we could delight in Him). Essential stuff, I do, non essential stuff, I donβt do.
With regards to working Sabbath, on 2 occasions (1 before I knew the Sabbath law , and the second time when I had to take a job which was evenings, although at the time it was summer), I simply took it to the Lord and said to Him, Iβm working Sabbath and I know I shouldnβt be, but Iβm going to give it to you to sort out, and the other time I said Lord, soon the evenings will be drawing in and I wonβt be able to work the Friday shift anymore, please sort it for me. On both occasions, by the Grace and Love of God, on 1 job someone asked to change days with me (to Sunday) and the other job, out of the blue I got a phone call offering me a job which I had applied for months before. He always helps us, so long as we fix our eyes on Jesus when the tempest rages about us, we shall be safe.
As Christians sometimes we face the trial of patience, whereby we have to wait for the Lord, this is where our faith is tested, and deepens.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Donβt be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you
