When I called last week to request change of circumstances paperwork, they said it’s taking 21 weeks now. I don’t know if that’s from when calling to get paperwork or from time of form scan

Claudb98 · 14/01/2024 18:56

Thanks for letting me know! Good luck

It’ll be a while for me I think as I only had my form scanned 2 weeks ago. 19 weeks to go!

Gcstjhj33 · 05/02/2024 14:13

Hi, my scan date is 16/10/23 had 2 letters so far. Had to ring to add a change as my boy now has 1:1 in school and it says it's taking up to 20 weeks for new claims so if they include Christmas week I'm at 14 weeks, if not we're at 15 weeks. Any one heard anything from similar scan date?

Starlightstargazer · 05/02/2024 17:48

My letter arrived today saying when it had been scanned and that it’s taking 11 weeks from now. Scan date 18/1

Claudb98 · 05/02/2024 19:52

@Starlightstargazer my letter said the same and my scan date is October so over 11 weeks already so I don’t think it’s true hopefully it is for you but I think it will most likely take over 11 weeks !! Good luck xx

Just so you know for the future and others reading you only need to do a COC if your dc's care needs have changed so significantly that you believe they are entitled to a lower or higher rate. Having a 1-1 is only relevant if they were previously only receiving low rate care and you are showing evidence of MR. Apologies if you know this.

Was that for change of circumstance? If so, I was told 21 weeks but that was back in February now so hopefully has changed!

Coops81 · 22/04/2024 21:23

My forms went in beginning of January and today I receved a call from the decision maker completely caught me off gaurd asking me questions I had already filled out on the form and said she was making the decision today and they called my daughters nursery they would of confirmed what I said my daughter has been diagnosed with selective mutism and suffers bad anxiety she’s under speech and language she had glue ear and couldn’t hear the first 2 years of her life and it’s impacted her so bad it’s heart braking so now we wait the process very long.

Aussielover · 23/04/2024 19:46

@Coops81 what was decided? I hope it was good news for you x I don't want my nursery called because they are go happy all the time and I witnessed them downplay my sons symptoms and when I questioned them about it they admitted they shouldn't have wrote what they did but covering it up to make their nursery look better isn't fair at all and could cost all the help my son gets x

Charl2911 · 28/04/2024 00:36

Sorry to jump on- my son was awarded middle rate care in January- I rang up DLA to query and he advised that I’ve got full day but nothing for the night. My son has constant supervision and is up until 3am so they have sent me a New claim form and he advised me just to fill out the night section and mobility as it’s a COC. Is this right as when I’m looking online it’s says to fill out the form in form for COC - but the man on the phone said just the relevant sections?

I think that would be a mandatory reconsideration? You would be asking them to reconsider why they made that decision and asking them to look again. I don’t know if you’re still within time frame from January though?
