Orange scalp spots

Hi everyone my son is 1 year old and for a little while now he’s had 2 bright orange spots in his hair, and I mean they’re neon! I’ve been monitoring them and they haven’t gotten any bigger, he’s perfectly fine in himself and they don’t bother him. Just wondered if anyone has seen anything like it with their children too? Haven’t sought medical advice yet as he is not unwell and they don’t bother him. Photo for reference xx

Yes they are and I think that what they are too. I’ve emailed the doctors suggesting this as a diagnosis and am awaiting their response…. Thanks for responding

Hi does anyone have an update or diagnoses for the orange spot as my 9 month has developed one on the back of the head also thank you

My 1 yr old son developed this same neon orange spot on his head today. We range a paediatrician today at the children’s hospital who said to monitor it for a week then call him. This is the only thread I can find online with the same spot. Does anyone have an update with what this spot is? Also did anyone’s kid catch covid before they got this? I only say this as this thread isn’t that old and my son has recently had covid.

Yes we got referred to a specialist and my daughters were Juvenile xanthogranuloma which is completely harmless. She had one on her head and then a couple on her legs and back. They should go with age.

Hi LTimm27, they were diagnosed as juvenile xanthogranuloma, harmless and have gone now he’s 4 ☺️ just have to be careful if they get them around the eyes I was told by dermatologist x
