I have noticed a soft lump in my DS's neck. It only pops out when he is laughing, crying or shouting. Right side of his neck just above the collar bone. It's not hard at all and about 5 cm long. completely disappears when he is calm.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Son still has it age 9, doctor wasnt remotely bothered with it and it seems pretty common.

Hiya just wanted to give an update on my experience with this, because I know when I was panic-googling, I could never find much about it. After several several doctor appointments - with various doctors, two blood tests and two ultrasounds. It is just a normal benign, but prominent, lymph node that measures a cm. He could have this for his whole life, which I now know two perfectly healthy adults with them too. Or he could grow out of them. They are not dangerous or worrisome despite them looking creepy every time they pop up. But I know how extremely worried I’ve been for a year now over them, so if any parent out there feels the same, please feel free to contact me
