Homeopathic Vaccinations

I really want to find out more about this; I live in London, what is a good source for information on this stuff?

anything- I ust want more info on it as I'm not in the know about alternatives to ordinary vaccinations, and I don't want to ust go along with something without finding out about the alternatives. I know they do exist, but wondered if anyone on here knew of a good place to go as a beginner.

You mean that you want to inject your child with "magic" water? Why would you do that?

What lady said!!!! What on earth would they be offering vaccinations for?

The only alternative is not having vaccinations at all. Please don't waste your money.

No ust spoke to a mother with three lovely amazing healthy kids and that was what she did- I never got her number though ust met her in the park. She was an intelligent, non-hippy, worldly mum. And they don't inect anything.

Surely it is not allowed to inject children with water which may or may not contain the 'memory' of some unlicensed product?

If you must, the alternative to vaccination is not vaccinating, not homeopathy.

You spoke to a mum who used homeopathy and her kids are fine so it's an alternative? Is that really what you mean or have I totally misunderstood your last post?

there are no inections ust to clarify. And I never said I wouldn't vaccinate, ust felt very under pressure to do so and want to explore it rather than ust accepting it as the only option

OK, no injections, but the majority of amazing healthy kids are amazingly healthy because they have actually been protected from infectious diseases by effective vaccinations - and herd immunity keeps other non vaccinated children (including any who have been 'treated' with homeopathy) protected.

Measles can kill or cause blindness and / or deafness. But give some little pill made of sugar and water containing the 'memory' of some chemical particle if you wish - then hope for the best and do a few spells and make a few charms to ensure that it works.

I see. Well, if you're reading up on homeopathy you might want to start with something like Ben Goldacre's 'Bad Science' alongside any pro homeopathy literature.

I'm generally in favour of homeopathy but think you have to know where to draw the line, for example I might use it for minor ailments, bruising, etc but not for any life threatening illnesses or injuries and think you would be mad to rely on this to protect your children.

I lost a friend to breast cancer who was a qualified homeopath and thought she could treat it without chemo, etc. She died young leaving a devastated husband and 2 young children which I accept she might have done anyway but we'll always wonder

I'm not an idiot, I don't believe everything I hear, I want to find out about it- to be dismissive and mocking of something that thousands of people have used for years is unnecessary- there are plenty of doctors who don't agree with normal vaccinations. I met a doctor who'd recently been made a fellow of the Royal Society who dismissed all but the most basic of vaccinations- a learned decision on his part.

Ok thanks secondtimelucky. There really is a lot to read, I want to speak to someone but it's pretty difficult without being ambushed with reasons why trad medicine is the only option.

A quick Google has given me the impression that even most homeopaths don't think there is any equivalent to "vaccination" for childhood diseases.

i use homeopathy and my children aren't vacinated and i consider myself normal and intelligent!

haha! I wasn't vaccinated either, but remember feeling rather left out about it. No homeopathy either. I'm fine, but def don't wanna wing it with my kids, want to know stuff. What types of precautions do you take rivenwithoutabingle? have you travelled with your kids? does everyone think you're a bad mum or do you keep quiet?

I find it heartening that when someone asks for help and advice they are given very sensible advice: homeopathy has nothing in it.

There is no such thing as a homeopathic vaccine; the alternative to conventional vaccination is no vaccination.
