Lumpy ears - any ideas?

DS1 is 5 and has got lumps over the tops of both of his ears.

DH noticed them yesterday while putting him to bed, but didn't say anything. I noticed them tonight at bedtime. They're not red, but raised and irregularly shaped. They don't seem to be bothering DS, in fact he's not aware that they're there.

Any ideas what they could be or is a trip to the GP needed?

Have a wee look at this..

Still think my DSs is heat related though as he only gets it on sunny days, and doesn't have headphones/ is a restless sleeper.

Thanks for that link.

I've never heard of Chondrodermatitis Nodularis but will have a Google and see if it fits.

It seems better today............very odd!

No, I don't think it's that as it's not painful or inflamed and there are several lumps on each ear not just a single one.

They all seem smaller today and are still not bothering him so we'll see how it goes.

I don't think that conclusion fits my DS either, as i said before - still reckon ours' is sun related.. presumably it wasn't so sunny where you were today either. Smile

DS2 gets this...I've noticed it's sun related, but I'm hoping it's not some sort of sunburn Hmm

It was a bit sunny here over the weekend, but not hot aswell.

Time will tell I suppose!
