World Book Day costumes - share pics of this year's costumes to win a bumper crop of WBD goodies.

In case you haven't heard, it's World Book Day next week and we want to know what inspired (or desperate) costume feats are you going to pull off this year. Upload your pictures to this thread and we'll pull out a winner from the Mumsnet WBD Hat on Monday 9th March.

The winner will receive an array of Dear Zoo goodies including: bundle of signed books, book and toy set, finger puppet set, mini backpack, plastic craft apron, socks and a bowl, plate, mug set and for older readers we have a set of signed Goth Girl books and a set of signed Geek Girl books plus red sparkly Geek Girl glasses. And of course a full set of the £1 books.

My daughter is Queen Elizabeth I and my son is the dragon from 'Room on the Broom'. :)

Cat in a hat

Another Cat in the Hat. I dismembered a fluffy bunny for the furry bib of the Cat. It was a bit disturbing.

Sophia is dressed as a Witch from her favourite book 'Room on the broom'.

My twin DDs love Dr Seuss, so they chose to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat.

DS is orange crayon (the true colour of the sun) from The Day the Caryons Quit!

My girls went as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr Suess. The wigs were made with fun fur sewn onto beanie hats. Even DD's monkey dressed up in a little Thing 3 costume I made for him!
