World Book Day costumes - share pics of this year's costumes to win a bumper crop of WBD goodies.

In case you haven't heard, it's World Book Day next week and we want to know what inspired (or desperate) costume feats are you going to pull off this year. Upload your pictures to this thread and we'll pull out a winner from the Mumsnet WBD Hat on Monday 9th March.

The winner will receive an array of Dear Zoo goodies including: bundle of signed books, book and toy set, finger puppet set, mini backpack, plastic craft apron, socks and a bowl, plate, mug set and for older readers we have a set of signed Goth Girl books and a set of signed Geek Girl books plus red sparkly Geek Girl glasses. And of course a full set of the £1 books.

This is our eldest Daughter dressed as Merida from Brave. She's actually really good with a bow and arrow!

This is 5yo DD as the Little Princess. I was proud of her, as she skipped in amongst a sea of Elsas and Belles, she was happy to be a bit different.

Love WBD, such a fab thing for children.

My daughter wanted to be the dragon from Room on the Broom. I doubt it will survive the afternoon at nursery but she loves it!

Burglar Bill (I made DS's mask and swag bag which has banknotes falling out of his bag) and Goldilocks plus bears (I made the apron and ribbons)

My little boys and I love to read Funnybones! Today they went to Nursery as the Big Skeleton, Little Skeleton and took their Dog Skeletons with them!! First time I have managed to get them dressed, fed and in the car without a hint of a whinge!

We would love to win the books. Story is and always has been one of our most favouritest parts of the day!

My daughter was dressed as a WW2 army character from Horrible Histories. I thought it would be totally different and no one else would think of it. A few tweaks here and there but not bad from Ebay

This is my son dressed as Plop, from The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark. He's so pleased with his costume I don't think he'll be taking it off any time soon!

Little Miss Sunshine, was originally going to be Little Miss Chatterbox but I bought yellow card instead of pink by mistake

my daughter wanted to be Doris from turn it up doris. its my first ever home made attempt. we really enjoyed putting it together and she had a fab day
