Hi looney
Sorry your'e down, an unannounced visit can mean a couple of different things, usually a complaint, but don't be downhearted if it is you are confident that you are doing a good job and know that you havn't broken your registration, get all you paperwork and registers to hand ready for the inspector to look at just in case it is a complaint, and yes if you were out when they visited unnanounced they would call to arrange a time, time constraints are usually quick when its a protection issue think its 48hrs, so you can at least cancell that one out run of the mill complaints are I think up to 28dys but could be wrong, although they are dealt with as quickly as possible.
On a brighter note if you had your inspection in march it could just be possible that they forgot to do something (this happened to a friend not long ago and they phoned all coy and asked to pop out, they didn't say what for then either) if thats the case then thats their fault and no reflection on you.
And if their has been a complaint you know in your heart of hearts that its unfounded, therefore the inspector will ask you details of that day / time of the allegation and verify what you say with your records, they will find no grounds and the complaint won't even appear on your record, it won't make you feel any better about things and you will be looking over your shoulder now wondering who said what and why, it's not nice, I won't tell you not to worry cos you will, but I will tell you to be confident and beleive in yourself the inspector will see by your reaction what they need to know, and thats why they don't tell you what its about. Will be thinking of you on Friday, all the best, and MN hugs.
Actually think Shoshe is right, or they have decided to give you an extra special outstanding CM award in light of reviewing your recent inspection report.
