Hi everyone

I'm a tad confused. Got the day off today and came back to an answerphone message from a lady at Ofsted. Spoke to her and she said she made an unannounced visit to me this afternoon but I was out and now she wanted to arrange to see me. She's coming on Friday at 2pm.

What on earth could this be about??? Does it automatically mean I've been reported for something? I know I've not gone over my numbers at all so if someone THINKS I have then that's ok but I just can't think what else it could be? I know I shouldn't be worried as I've not done anything wrong but I'm upset about not knowing and thinking someone must have reported me for something and therefore I'm wondering who would do this

Any thoughts people?

mumlove - thanks hun x

Bradfordmum - no, never reported anyone. Plus I doubt they'd do an unannounced visit unless it's something I'm supposed to have done Will try and stay strong x

SammyK - all I know is that she turned up yesterday and I wasn't in so she called so she could make sure I was in next time. She wanted to come asap by the sounds of it but was booked up Wed/Thurs hence saying Friday. It's at 2pm as she's already booked for the morning x

atwork - I did wonder if it was to do with the inspection as it was the last one that lady did and then she left Ofsted. But they wouldn't drop in unannounced for that so I can only think it's a complaint of some sort. I really really don't think any of my parents would do that though. I've told 2 of them about it today and will tell the others tomorrow. So far I've just had shocked reactions and them trying to reassure me. I WAS confident that I've done nothing etc. but it's a weird feeling to be left waiting and in the meantime I'm wondering if I'm a crap cm afterall. Think I just didn't get enough sleep last night!! x

Anyway, thanks again for the support, it really helps to be able to talk about it rather than it fester away inside Thanks x

Good luck for later

dollparts · 31/07/2009 11:51

Good luck for 2pm

And by the way why do ofsted feel the need to be so cryptic? I takes me back to the days when I would be in class and suddenly be summoned to the headmasters office, wait for what seemed like forever whilst racking my brains about what it could be.

I just feel their approach has been unprofessional to be honest. Can you think of any organisation that would dictate what time, day and withold the reason for their visit?

looneytune · 31/07/2009 13:41

Thanks everyone.

dollparts - I know, it's so unfair. I was doing ok until 1ish and now I feel sick again. At least it'll be over soon

looneytune · 31/07/2009 15:44

Sorry guys, I know I said I'd come back and say what happened but friend has just made a very good point - not to put on the internet!!! The fact I don't know who's making this crap up makes me worry about putting anything on here so I'm sorry to make you wonder but that's all I'm going to say. Hope you understand xx
