Hi there...

We are looking for either a live out 4 day a week nanny, or possibly a live in au pair plus. We have 2 children, eldest starting school next term (January), younger in nursery a few afternoons a week (hoping to change to 3 mornings next term). We live in London W14 and need someone to start in January 2010. Current 4 day a week nanny has been with us for a few years and is leaving because she needs to work more hours.

If anyone might be interested, please CAT me and I'll send you a job description.

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm looking for a childminder/nanny/nanny share to collect my nearly 4 year old daughter from school in Loughton for a few days each week.
Preferably starting in September 2010, but can start collecting now from nursery or even full-time until then if preferred by childcarer.

Thanks.

Hi, we're looking for a nanny or CM starting end of March 2010, 3 full days a week, to look after our DS who will be 19 months at the time. This will hopefully be a permanent position, perhaps in the future with more hours depending on circumstances. We live in London NW11. Please contact me through CAT if you're interested.

Hi,

I am looking for childcare for my two children (4 & 2) from February 2010 in Portsmouth/Gosport. Not sure of location yet (waiting to hear from navy housing people!) so just investigating my options at the moment.

Would need two days per week (one the Friday), from about 8:15am until I collect them in the afternoon.

Any recommendations for great childminders (or maybe nurseries with pre-school facilities?) would be brilliant.

Thanks

We are a friendly, relaxed family (G2.5 B1) looking for a fun and enthusiastic nanny to work 16 hours over 3 days a week. Our children are very happy and lots of fun...our daughter loves being chased, painting, cooking and princesses and our son adores lots of cuddles, tickles and doors!

Although we can offer some flexibility, we are ideally looking for someone to work:

  • Monday/Wednesday 3pm-9.30pm
  • Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 8.20 or 9.30am-1.20pm
  • One more day - either am or pm for 4 hours
  • An hour or two a week to research, prepare and buy activities for the children to do (treasure hunts, messy play, arts and crafts)
  • (Some flexibilty for odd occasions a bonus)

Duties are predominantly childcare but also some help with light housework (we have a cleaner in 3 times a week), cooking for the children, laundry/ironing.

We are looking for someone:

  • with at least 3 years previous experience of similar age groups
  • confident driver - we have a car available for use in work time, but no nearby public transport
  • checkable references
  • most importantly, someone who is happy, creative and enthusiastic

In return we can offer a fantastic position - much appreciation, laughs and a super wage.

(Apologies but we are unable to accommodate nannies wanting to bring their own child to work. Please also note that we are hoping to move to Reigate in the near future, so nannies must be happy to work in either location.)

Many thanks,

Sarah

OK I posted yesterday saying we're looking for a nanny for end of March, but actually it turns out we're looking for a nanny to start January. As I wrote before, we live in London NW11 & would like someone to work 3 days a week (9 hours each day) with our 15 month old DS. We'd be happy to arrange a nannyshare & would also be open to the possibility of nanny with her own child if it was the right person. Please contact me through CAT if you're interested. Thanks!

17.11.09 I am looking for a nanny share or an experienced childminder for 4 days per week for a 1 year old. Location - Wheatley or Headington, Oxford. Start date - January 2010. If you are that person or you know of someone suitable could you post details Thanks in anticipation

fillybuster · 17/11/2009 16:20

We're a friendly family in N2 (East Finchley) looking for a sole-care nanny for 4 days a week (not Wednesdays, although occasional help might be needed!).

Our current nanny is leaving after 3.5 years and we are looking for someone fun, enthusiastic and loving to look after our DD (nearly 2) all day, and DS (4, already at school) from 3.30pm.

Hours are approx 8.30-6.30, although some flexibility is needed. The position involves taking and collecting DS to/from school, looking after DD through the day, cooking meals for the children, light child-related housework (we have a cleaner twice a week) and generally helping out with keeping the family ticking over

We are looking for someone:

  • with a driving license
  • who has minimum 2 years childcare experience (sole charge or nursery)
  • who is frienly and outgoing
  • who can cook (!)
  • who will enjoy organising arts & crafts activities for the children as well as playdates etc

Starting as soon as possible please - either pre or post-xmas. 4 weeks holiday/year (with Xmas forming either 1 or 2 weeks of this). Please contact me on [email protected] or CAT me. Thanks

MC7 · 17/11/2009 18:07

I am looking for a childminder or nanny share to start around Easter to look after my daughter who will be 9 months old. I live in Blackheath but will be working in Dulwich so either area would suit. I need her to be looked after from around 7.30am - 2pm Monday - Friday.

Maisiedot · 18/11/2009 08:46

We are in Reigate - looking for someone who would like to nanny share with us from March / April 2010 (probably 3 or 4 days per week), when my daughter will be 9 months old.

Alternatively I'd be interested to hear from any nannies who will be looking for a new / additional charge from this time.

cleaningsucks · 18/11/2009 19:08

nanny wanted - North London

I'm looking for a part-time nanny to pick up my daughter from school in Crouch End (at 3.10) and look after her til 6.30/7 4 days a week (we live a ten min walk downhill!). I would be looking for a degree of flexibility so that if there were a crisis at work, you could work a bit later, and maybe if it were possible if she is off sick (but totally understand that this would depend on your schedule). I suggest an hourly rate so that you would be appropriately compensated for extra hours.

My daughter is 6, and is really easy going. I am a single parent, and consequently, she is great with grown-ups and at entertaining herself. I'm not looking for someone to over-stimulate her - I just want her to come home and be safe and warm at the end of each day.

Responsibilities
I would be looking for you to bring her home/ go to the park, give her supper, and bath her.
I'd be keen for you to read with her for ten minutes or so
I would also want you to change her bed sheets once a week, hang out her washing occasionally and clear up after supper - I definitely don't expect you to do any extra chores per se.
I expect her to tidy up at the end of the day, and would be looking for you to help with that (ie - give a helping hand, but get her to be responsible for her own mess!)

Please get in touch if this sounds like something you might be interested in. Rates negotiable.

Maria2007loveshersleep · 18/11/2009 19:38

We're still looking for a part-time nanny for 3 days a week- but wanted to say that we also would love to find another family for a nannyshare in the NW11 area in London (Golders Green / Temple Fortune / Hampstead Garden Suburb). If we were to arrange a nannyshare, we would then be looking to hire someone, potentially, for more hours per week & at a better rate, so it's beneficial for all, I feel. If there's any families who are thinking of hiring a nanny in that area & want to reduce the cost (or even discuss the implications of a nannyshare) please get in touch & we'll have a chat about it.
