Oh Tu, your poor little boys. Do you think it might be CP coming with them?

Am off to London11's today, one of her Mindees has a birthday so we are invited for cake

mumsanutter · 12/11/2008 07:03

Morning shoshe,

Ds3 has had chicken pox (nearly 2 years ago), he has a weak chest - they won't say its asthma as he's only 3!! and as soon as he gets a cold we go through this, and usually end up in A&E with him on a nebuliser!! Ds4 I know is teething, but knowing how my luck is running he will also get the chicken pox, am keeping an eye on him (mindee came on in spots last week, so 10 days should be around this weekend!

Have a brillient time at London11's and the party, have a slice of cake for me.

DGD was diagnosed at 2 with Asthma, but DS not till he was 5, its mad that they wont do it earlier!

We will have a good time, lots of cake, cos I don't care if I get any fatter and London is our newly PG CM in the Staff Room (not sure I should come in {hmm} all the CM's seem to get PG!)

NumberFour · 12/11/2008 07:15

Morning!

You poor thing, mumsanutter! How awful for you.

Hi, Shoshe. Still beaming???

Off to the hospital this morning for a check up on the aftermath of DS's birth 4 years ago!! I am going to be poked and prodded and inspected and more. AND I DON'T WANT TO DO IT!!!!!

And I did my tax return last night

mumsanutter · 12/11/2008 07:21

Shoshe,

If I get pregnant it will be a miricle (or grounds for divorce!![grin}) dh is still in Hong KOng until december, but I do know that his work have opened a book on when we fall pregnant!!

I fell with ds4 when dh got back from a work trip to boston! and I think ds3 was a work trip to austria!!

No4, good luck at the hosp (SP hosp? - I might see you there!!). Well done on doing your tax return - I can't face doing them, so use an accountant!

Shoshe · 12/11/2008 07:28

He did a spreadsheet for me that I enter into when I remember weekly, then he does all the rest.

SammyK · 12/11/2008 10:59

no not yet, post is very sporadic on my road anyway so hopefully will come soon!

I would play it down to baby's mum, especially as the result was minor and mum has a lot on her plate, but play i up to biter's mum that you will be montioring the situation.

PinkChick · 12/11/2008 11:02

saz73 · 12/11/2008 12:37

For tbe first time in my childminding career which is nearly 5 yrs I totally forgot mindee's dad ask if it was ok to drop him off at 7 am this morning. There I was havig a cup of tea sat in my PJ's and the door bell rings........never felt so ashamed going out to buy new PJ's jsut in case it ever happens again

MrsPuddleduck · 12/11/2008 13:16

Can I ask a question?

Do I need to keep my mindees records in a locked file? I am currently storing them in a separate file in a filing cabinet in the study/dining room.

Thanks

I have just spent another morning sorting through various piles of paper/leaflets and can't work out what I've achieved I am desparately trying to get organised but feel like I am fighting a losing battle at the moment

Illhavethisinsize12 · 12/11/2008 13:23

i seem to spend every day trailing though piles of paper work. if its not dhc its diaries, portfolio, policies etc etc etc. am now trying to get a handbook together but am loosing hte will to live.

NumberFour · 12/11/2008 13:38

MrsPuddleduck, as far as I know yes, the documents should be locked away (mental note to lock mine away....)and I fully understand about trying to keep on top of paperwork. Because our house is so small, I find it really hard trying to keep it under control. Let me rephrase that: to GET it under control.

saz73: for you if your pyjamas are anything as awful as mine!

PInkchick, the biting will eventually stop. I think you're right in not phoning mum.

Mumsanutter: missed you at SP but I reckon we were at different places!

All fine at the hospital.Don't need to go back again. Horrible exam but good result!

mumsanutter · 12/11/2008 14:08

No 4, glad that the result was what you wanted. We didn't end up at sp, took son to the docs and he has a chest infection, so we are treating it with antibiotics and giving him his inhalers - so hopefully won't end up at sp!!

Mrspuddleduck - yes your paper work should be in a locked file (confidentiality!).

size 12 - All my confidentila cm paperwork is in my file, all other cm paperwork in a drawer, and all household paperwork until filed upstairs is in a vertial stack system in a cupbaord!!

Saz73 - I would be mortified to open the door in my pj's, but mine is actually a nightie with winnie the pooh on that glows in the dark!! I will admit though that I don't come downstairs in the morning unless I'm fully dressed

Coolj - hope you had a good walk, the weather is quite nice (if cold) today.

Pink - sorry to heea about the biting. It should stop, ds3 went through that stage and has (hopefully) grown out of it now.

Sammy - hello, how are you today

Katy - hope you are feeling a bit better and that the conference went ok

Southern - hope that cake making goes/went ok - can I have some?

Shoshe - hope that party was ok and that you had some cake foe me

Hello to everyone else, hadn't realised how difficult it is to type and cuddle a 3 year old

mumlove · 12/11/2008 14:09

Afternoon to you all.

It is lovely and sunny here again but oh so cold.

I have just joined facebook after meeting an old school friend again this morning, but I have no idea as what to do on it!

PC - christmas crafts already. I suppose it is time to start sorting them out. Where has the rest of the year gone?

Illhavethisinsize12 · 12/11/2008 15:16

what policies will inspector expect to see. freind told me today that there are only about 5 that we HAVE to have, now that i have made 2million of them!! do you all have brocures that you give potential clients? did you have them made?

NumberFour · 12/11/2008 17:51

Illhavethisetc, have a look at the MUST and the SHOULD sections of the welfare part of EYFS. You must have the MUSTS and it is good practice (or whatever the right phrase is now!) to have the SHOULDS. I am updating my policies a the moment, too. Sorry I dont know off hand which are essential.

I would go for comprehensive set of policies rather than the bare minimum. I even want to do one on lost items and toys brought into my setting!
