DLA wait times part 16 (2023)

Following on from part 15…

Hey… just been in to sons school and spoke to his head of year who agrees the reasons they’ve gave are ridiculous and they are going to write me another statement/ letter to refute what has been said, she’s took my paperwork and the notes I’ve made so far from the evidence school did previously so now that’s in progress I’m feeling a bit more positive…

@Caroline6623 I’m 22/06 been with DM since the weekend just called yesterday no news yet will call tomorrow

Scan date 23/06. Decision made yesterday for high rate care! Over the moon, don’t give up people, it’s an absolute head but worth it! Can’t wait to get my little girl some much needed speech therapy, can’t wait to hear her voice! Thank you all for the support and info you’ve kept me sane the last 18 weeks!

We've been awarded 😀. She was awarded yesterday. HRC and LM. Scan date 26/6. I'm so relieved. Good luck to everyone xxx

Scan 29/6 and I've just rang just to check I still had time to send more evidence in, i wrote a night time diary for my son as he is a nightmare sleeping wise aswell as him being added to the sen register at school, and i realised i hadnt sent in the letter saying hes been referred to cyps on the pathway, 🤞🤞 theres enough there or i dont know what else i can send if its declined, she said they'll be going to dms in the next 10 days so I've sent it recorded delivery today

Am same scan date I rang Monday and wasn’t even with dm yet😫 said it will be end of month this wait is so hard I think we will be any day now though 🤞

I’ve just received a text to my old number 34 mins ago saying my child qualifies and I was just sat there worrying aswell! 23/06 I am calling now to find out rates good luck all ❤️❤️❤️

Has anyone with a scan date around 11th July rang yet!? I want to but I don't think my 10 month old will allow it 🤣 xx

@4LittleFirecrackers thank you my scan date was 23/06, it went to Dm on Tuesday and I was awarded today not long ago, I got my last text on the 19th sept and I would have been 18 weeks tomorrow ❤️ they seem to be getting thru them quicker now good luck yours won’t be far off xx

Just off the phone hun on hold for 1hour 20minutes but not cut off so il take that as a win 😂. Lovely lady told me it's taking 18.5 weeks my scan date is the 10th of July sending more evidence as didn't send anything when I did the form but he now has a diagnosis and further referrals and really struggling now in year 6. Also congrats everyone on the awards amazing. Keep fighting for the mr our babies deserve this ashame what we have to do sometimes but you've got this.

Congrats to everyone being awarded! Really sorry to those that have been declined. It's such an awful wait. My scan date is 25/7 and it feels like it's getting further and further away. I'm becoming really anxious now thinking I've not sent enough or filled the form in right. My son was diagnosed autistic last year and we are just waiting to hear back about his ADHD assessment he had. I've only sent his autism diagnoses report, speech and language reports and also his Person, provision plans from his school. His school is excellent with it all so far. I'm just becoming more and more worried.

@Mummyrach13 how scary! Making me really anxious now I asked for a text if she gets awarded so if 26th dates are being done and I don't recieve a text I'll just presume she's been declined! I have the same feeling of dread as you do hun!!... congrats all on your awards too 💓

@Mumto2sengirlsxx a few have asked for texts and not received them when they’ve been awarded so don’t count on that lovely, only a certain amount of DMs have that facility! I’m the same the nerves have now turned to dread as it’s getting closer. Xx

Was just going to ask how many get texts when accepted as really don’t want to call for a 3rd day in a row but seeing people getting accepted is making me want to know

@Mummyrach13 I told my partner and he's told me to call to put my mind at rest else it will bug me constantly but I told him the feeling of dread is too much and I'm scared to hear the words declined 🤣 xxx

I'm scared they are gonna shout at me for calling again but I'm on hold my partner told me to just do it. On my eldest daughters claim I found out she was awarded at 10am on the phone but didn't recieve the award text message until 4.30ish of the afternoon xx
