@Mummyrach13 this is a new claim for my daughter but my son has been recieving for years and we've never had a wait like this and my daughter is a lot sicker than my son unfortunately so should be a pretty straightforward claim! They've told me today its still in a pile waiting to go to a CM :( x

. My scan date is 26/06 and I also got my last text 5 weeks ago today but im not hopeful I'll have a decision anytime soon 🤣 congrats to people who have found out their decisions today! Xx

I called last week and he wasn't helpful 🤣 so really nervous about calling again tbh xxx

@Mumto2sengirlsxx just call them, everyone else seems to, and I am although he told me to call back in 2 weeks time lol I only rang Friday! Go for it, you wanna know, as long as you’re over the 15 weeks then you’ve got all right to call… we shouldn’t have to wait much longer! I’m 37mins on hold now x

@Spicegirl91 yep that’s all you need to do. I’d just add that the reason you’ve let them know outside of your assessment period is because you’ve only just been notified.

@AutisticDaughter yep they’ve agreed to backdate the amount. It won’t go in with your usual monthly payment, the exact amount of the backpay will go into your account directly. I think it takes 3-5 working days as mine only came within a few days. You’ll get your normal monthly payment with the disabled child/carer element included if you’ve requested for either to be added on

@Lollypops88 thank you… 55mins now, should know soon. Not only do they make you wait ages for a decision, they also make you wait ages for someone to answer the phone haha x

Still no update after it decision being made on Thursday then finding out there's no decision in the claim the day after and it's been sent to a senior decision maker.

It's taking all of my strength not to call back and ask for an update as they have said they'll text me once it's done and it may take up to 2 weeks.

I have a general feeling that the claim is going to be denied especially after the decision being changed.

Hi my scan date was 4th July, I called today, as it was 16 weeks today.
I cant believe my son was awarded pm the 20th October!! I have stressed so much and expected them to say it wasn't with a DM!!

Amazing news for you all who finally have their decisions, the wait is awful. So anxious, scan date for my daughter is 20th July received second text 16th October. Fingers crossed for everyone!

@ahahblueeyes im sorry it’s taking so long for you and your girl! I really don’t know how they work these dates out as they really don’t go in order as stated as various dates are now being awarded.

The system isnt the best when we all know are children deserve it.

@Rosey1992 When did u recieve your last text Im same scan date as you and I rang Friday and wasn't with anyone told me a couple of weeks yet. I might try ring again now. They will probably be irritated with me but the wait is driving me mad.
