Posted in the last thread but thought I would again for any one new.
Scan date 15/06
Has 2 texts and was awarded 5 weeks after first one.
Awarded Tuesday this week and back pay gone in this morning which is 17 weeks of MRC.
Hang in there everyone 🙌🏻

Meant to say awarded 5 weeks after second text 🤦🏼‍♀️

Raych1989 · 20/10/2023 09:16

Just called for an update
Scan date 04/07
2 texts one on 12/09 and second on 2/10
Spoke to a lady who said I should hear something in next 2 weeks according to updated timescales which would take me to around 17 1/2 weeks.

Good luck to everyone

Emsychap · 20/10/2023 09:22

Scan date 22/06 not with a DM yet fingers crossed it’s soon. Said 18 half weeks

Marie984 · 20/10/2023 09:28

Scan date 15/6

just rang for update, took 15min hold.. went to decision maker 13/10 still no decision yet. Explained to the lady I suffer with anxiety and it’s making it worse and she said she was going to send an email to the DM and was really pleasant enough but just feel like screaming.
congrats to all who have been awarded and hopefully some of you will get some positive news today

Mummyrach13 · 20/10/2023 09:42

Good luck ladies. Another long weekend coming up of over thinking it.
hope we see lots more awards this week x

Cheesywiggles · 20/10/2023 10:06

Hey everyone , hope it's ok to join!

Scan date 06/07 so at 15 weeks so far. First text 12/09 and second text 02/10. Really starting to get anxious with the long wait now 😬
I called on Wednesday morning to check they had received the extra evidence I've sent in. They have but the person I spoke to said that half their computer system was down so he couldn't give me any updates! I don't really wanna call again but I presume looking at other people's posts I still probably have another 2-3 week wait if not longer.
Good luck to everyone still waiting and well done to those who have been awarded!

BrokenRainbow · 20/10/2023 10:06

Hi,

had anyone been asked to fill out form about ‘your role’ to ensure appointeeship is working well. For context I am their mother and we have just been re-awarded DLA. My NI number is also incorrect on the form. Has anyone received this?

jlgsy94 · 20/10/2023 10:09

Called them again this morning.

Decision was made yesterday to award my 10 year old son HRC and LRM from 16th May 2023 - 15th May 2025. Back payment of £2,958.85 should be in my account by Tuesday next week. I'm SO relieved!! (Scan date 16/06)

Fingers crossed for a positive outcome for my 3 year old daughter soon (Scan date 27/06)

Mummyrach13 · 20/10/2023 10:13

Congratulations for you and your boy!
what a relief.

Im 26/6 so close to your girls claim too. 🤞 for good news soon. X

Lollypops88 · 20/10/2023 10:22

@jlgsy94 congrats im so happy for u, that money will make all the difference for ur childs needs ❤❤❤

Mummytodo · 20/10/2023 10:23

@Hannahlou94xx same here no decision yet and same scan date

zoeybrooks45 · 20/10/2023 10:31

Some advice for anyone waiting for backpay of UC disabled child element and careers element. After leaving a message under payment, leave a separate message under work coach stating the same thing (someone advised on Facebook). I received my backpay within 48hrs of doing this. Whereas, when I just did under payment nobody was getting back to me. Fingers crossed, for everyone still awaiting on thier awards. Congrats to those that have been awarded this week x

jlgsy94 · 20/10/2023 10:31

@Mummyrach13 @Lollypops88 Thank you! It really will make all the difference for him, it feels like a massive weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Hope you hear soon too!🙏

Rosey1992 · 20/10/2023 10:53

@Raych1989 same scan date as me 4/7! So thank you for the update! I rang last week, on week 15, they said 18.5 weeks, so fingers crossed fly for us to hear back soon! X

Raych1989 · 20/10/2023 10:56

@Rosey1992 ill let u know if I hear anything else.
Fingers crossed 🤞 not long now x

Harrydog111 · 20/10/2023 11:01

I'm 21/06 too. Thanks for updating

Mammashaz · 20/10/2023 11:05

@BrokenRainbow the NI number on the letters is your child's, not yours.

Fluffybuns88 · 20/10/2023 11:06

Rang back after being told there was a decision yesterday but needed to be approved.

There's now no decision and it's been sent to a higher DM.

😭

Mummyrach13 · 20/10/2023 11:09

Oh my @Fluffybuns88 nothing like making you even more anxious!

hope you hear some good news real soon. 🤞

Fluffybuns88 · 20/10/2023 11:12

It's driving me absolutely crazy now 😂

Joining the thread as I've been keeping a close eye on it for some time now. I phoned up for application forms for my 10 year old son and 3 and a half year old daughter back in May.

Scan date 16/06 for 10yo

Son has Severe Combined-Type ADHD, ASD and Sleep Initiation Disorder. He's medicated for his ADHD. He also has an EHCP with Band 3 funding.

Scan date 27/06 for 3 and a half yo - Took a bit longer to gather evidence

Daughter has Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele (no sensation below knees), Hydrocephalus, Hip Dysplasia and Talipes

Sent in a truck ton of evidence for both - We're talking diagnosis letters, developmental reports, SALT reports, CAMHS, School/Preschool reports etc etc etc

Called on Monday (16th October) and was told my son's had been sent to the DM that day. Daughter's isn't quite there yet but should be sent to DM within the next few weeks.

Called again today re my son's, and was told he's now been allocated a National Insurance number (They had previously used a CL1 ref number for him due to me waiting to receive child benefit for him - We moved over from the Channel Islands back in May, hence why he didn't already have a NINO). The person I dealt with said this usually means it's a positive outcome on the application, and I should hear from the DM very soon.

Has anyone else had this before and been awarded soon after?

Hi this is totally unrelated to dla claim but I have a 10 month old with spinabifida exactly the same as your daughter, he has hydrocephalus a shunt talipes (his his also clicks constantly so will be having a scan soon to check for hip dysplasia) and no feeling below the knee so just wondering if you don't mind me asking what things are like with your daughter when it comes to weight baring, does she weight bare or walk at least a little? Obviously only if your comfortable answering 😁 Thanks xx

Edited

She can weight bare and she is able to walk small distances with mobility aids (currently using an R82 Crocodile Walker) within the home. Outside she is reliant on her Firefly WeGo pushchair or other means. Her hip dysplasia has been a pain in the neck, she had an Open Reduction and Pelvic Osteotomy done in 2021 (??) which ended up not being successful in the end, so she then had a VDRO done in January this year. So far so good but need to have the metal plate and pins removed early next year :) x

Tmxx · 20/10/2023 11:27

@jlgsy94 Thank you so much for replying to me! It's so nice to hear people with similar situations as my boy and hearing that they weight bare and walk even if its just short distances for around the home! Gives me hope for my boy as at the least that's what I would like for him is to be able to get around the house! Wow so sorry the hip dysplasia is being such a pain for you!! I really hope it gets sorted for you little one bless her! I feel like operations for our little ones are never ending the poor things 💔 😔 xx

I know only too well how crippling the anxiety can be, and how you just hope they can be as independent as possible and thrive and be able to participate in day to day life as much as possible. Your little boy will show you just how amazing he is and he'll keep surprising you, of that I have no doubt x

Been following for this thread for a whilst now ... scan date same as me 🤞 rang in the 10th to say it's another few weeks wait trying to call today as I'm going out of my mind worrying I didn't send enough only diagnosis statement
