I'm at the beginning of this wait! But can anyone help me with how I send more evidence? I have just received the supporting evidence from the school and support worker. This would be a huge help for the claim! I sent the form before this as I was sick of asking them for it!

SO Relieved just received a text message saying that my son qualifies for DLA only took 17 weeks and 5 days in tears writing this the fight is over and now we can get him the additional support he needs

Anyone know when you get a payment after this message ?

All additional information can be sent to this address. It’s the only one that you can use if you send it with recorded delivery (to avoid it getting lost via the post box).

Any information you send, add the child’s reference number, DOB and full name. If you don’t have their reference number then just use their DOB and full name. Good luck

Hi, I'm new to the waiting game as my form was just uploaded last week (I had a DLA home visit where they help you fill it in and upload it to the system there and then)

Did anyone else request a claim form and it not arrive? I originally rang on 28 July but the form didn't come so rang again and a new one was sent 3 weeks later. They have noted the system, but I don't know how this works as its the scan date that counts for backpayment isn't it? I'm used to PIP where it's the date your claim started (i.e. the phone call)

You also need to add child's date of birth and full name as well as reference hope this helps xx

does anyone know when the waiting times for the first DLA payment I had a text today saying that my autistic son has been awarded no paperwork yet and don't know rates (scan date 2nd June )

From other threads it looks like the backpay is within a few days, then every 4 weeks then after. Good news that they are in June now! My scan date is the 30th

Hello I'm abit new to this group and unsure if it's even OK to pop a quick question on here, but I sent off for DLA for my 3 and a half year old son, they received the forms on 26/07/23 has anyone else sent forms around about the same sort of time and had a decision back yet? I did ring them around 2 and a half weeks ago to explain they'd made a spelling mistake on he's name which they changed for me and said they hadn't reached a decision as of yet but I have 5 children in total and 3 step children and also work evenings when husband is home With the kiddos so I really don't have a spare hour and 45 minutes to be waiting on hol to get through to them like it took me last time

hi my scan dateis also 35th july, i have not received an answer yet, and am not planning on calling them to be honest, i will just wait until end of november,

My scan date is 27/07 and I’ve just had a txt on 02/10 to say
We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it.

I also rang on 03/10 to get their address to send new and extra info and the man said it’s approx 18 weeks atm for a decision so it will be first week of December at the earliest. Hope this helps

has anybody recently recieved there award? If so what’s your scan date please. Mine is the 29th June I still haven’t heard anything

I read yesterday on the part 15 board that someone was awarded yesterday with a scan date of 14/06. I’ve also read that some people with your scan date of 29/06 and thereabouts have been told it’s now with the decision maker. That I believe can take 10-14 days approx. If you call there may be an update to say it’s atleast with a DM and being looked at? Good Luck x

Mines the 30th, I called them on Monday and was told by a very nice man that they are updated on a Monday with the current wait times. As of Monday just gone it was 17.5 weeks, but basically it can be anything between now and the end of November.

A lady today said 2 weeks and I should have a decision. Different call handlers tell you all different information. I just can’t wait for this wait to be over and done with. Hope we all hear soon x
