Scan date 25/05, applied for 2 sons. Yesterday younger son got accepted on MR care and LR mobility, rang today 45 min wait . They said eldest claim is still with DM no other info given. Hopefully they will have decided by Monday 🤞

Does anyone know why the phone lines are so busy. I've tried to update my bank details for the past week and the call drops after 40 minutes. I get paid Monday and it's an old account so I won't be getting paid next week. Can you update online

Hi, I’m new to this too and I’ve been wondering how to find the scan date too?

Scan date is the date they received the form and scanned it onto the system.

If your only updating bank details the option is 3 then 2 your possibly choosing the wrong number as its busy due to lots of people trying to get an update on the progress of there claim

How do we find this out though?

If you have recieved the letter they sent out it states the date if not you would call the number and ask them, I didn't know mine until I phoned as I never recieved any letter but most people stated it was on the letter they recieved to say the claim had been recieved.

I sent mine back 22nd June. I’ve received two letters stating the same thing in the past few weeks. I haven’t rang up yet

No this is what I'm doing I'm pressing those options every time. I really can't understand why its so busy.

@Holly03 I rang at 9 am and got through after 45 mins wait.

@Billiesmum scan date is the date they received your application and scan it into their system, I sent mine recorded so I knew the date was 25/05 from the tracking but it was also on the first letter I got.

@Billiesmum i got medium rate care and low mobility rate for my 9 year old but still waiting on 14 year olds claim, it’s with the decision maker I’m going to ring at 9am tomorrow and ask.

I will be lucky to hear back before Christmas I’m going to give them a call tomorrow. Good luck

I called up on Thursday to chase my son's application (scan date 6 June) to be told they are looking at up to 20 week waiting time now 😫

🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Just got through on phone, eldest son awarded on Friday, medium rate care, lower rate mobility, lump sum back payment should come on Wednesday, plus it’s valid til day before his 17th bday in 2026. First regular payment of £380 will arrive 24/10 then every 4 weeks. Whoo hoo I’m made up both boys got what they deserved. I sent my claim by the post office, scan date 29th May.

Just been awarded, as seen money in my bank account this morning from DLA. It looks like a back payment.

So far I have received one letter with scan date and two texts, last correspondence was in august, a text saying we're still looking at the claim.

Good luck everyone still waiting, don't be discouraged by no news as seen by my case, you could still be awarded.

My scan date is 30th may so fingers crossed I hear something soon 🤞🏼glad you got yours sorted, waiting driving me crazy. I rang last week at 16 weeks and told they can take up to 18 weeks now. Guessing they just adding time on to stop people ringing back.
