My scan date is also 29th June, ive never called, but i have had the diagnosis through, so im calling to find out what to do next before they make their decision. l
will keep update for the 29th'ers!

Mumofkidsx3 · 26/09/2023 16:07

@Loup19863 I’m not really sure this has been here a while but people didn’t move over from part 13 😂

Mumofkidsx3 · 26/09/2023 16:10

Guys they actually back date to the day you rang up for the claim form, my scan date was 25/05 and got medium rate care and low rate mobility for both my boys found out on Friday and Monday, they back dated mine to 18/04
@Hmcc123 whoo hoo so happy for you, hope you got what you were expecting 🥳

Loup19863 · 26/09/2023 16:23

@Mumofkidsx3 I just saw you were on this one so I’ll follow this one now 😅 x

neuromummy · 26/09/2023 16:43

i was just told on the phone that the waiting times have slightly gone down now by about 2weeks... i dont know how true this is tho. so its looking like 18 weeks on average. hope this helps

Mumofkidsx3 · 26/09/2023 17:05

I think most people that applied in may got their decision around the 17- 18 week mark, only a couple on here got to 20weeks for new claims. COC is a whole different story

Mumofkidsx3 · 26/09/2023 17:22

@Tmxx you left a question about scan date on thread 13. The date you are awarded from is actually the Original date you phoned up for the form so don’t worry too much about the signing hiccup. But I imagine you will be counting from when they got the signed form as far as wait time goes, good luck

Mumofkidsx3 · 26/09/2023 17:23

@Loup19863 I updated my Uc straight away because uc and DLA is all part of dwp anyway they will be able to check I imagine 😂 I havnt been asked for proof 🙊

Mumofkidsx3 · 26/09/2023 17:27

Those who are updating UC after having successful claims don’t forget to write in your journal and ask them to back date your child disability element to the date your DLA was backdated to, (the date you phoned up for the DLA forms) not your scan date. I’ve also asked them to consider giving me 4 bedroom rate housing benefit as my children with disabilities can not share a bedroom( I have 3 children, 2 with ASD, ADHD/ Epilepsy).

xox4598 · 26/09/2023 18:12

hey i rang today found out my lb boy as been awarded hrc i requested forms 14th of april they were due back 26th may but scanned 30th may theyve awarded from 14th april i didnt realy send much information just a salts referral and pediatrician referral appointment letter i was expected a decline so dont give up hope guys xx

Same with carers element on UC too guys. You have to request the backpay, they won’t just give it like DLA does

Ratfinkstinkypink · 27/09/2023 05:33

I've woken up this morning to a back payment of £639, had no letter, no texts but I think that he now has HRM too which would mean I can get him his wheelchair accessible vehicle! It will make a huge difference to our lives.
