Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've sent my son's form off recently, but didn't include a NI number. Honestly, when I saw that box I ignored it because I thought it was only for over 16s.

Do you think I should write to them to update? Or maybe call? I don't even know what number I'm supposed to be giving them tbh. Child benefit? Might be able to dig out a letter about that.

Shellbel10 · 01/11/2022 16:05

I’m the exact same I left it and thought it was for over 16s

Twinboyz · 01/11/2022 17:19

Hi there @gingergingerginger - I didn’t put a national insurance number down either, my son is 2. I have been told that his award is marked as likely and has been sent off now to a team that will create his reference number. As far as I can tell from google this “Reference” is what will later become his national insurance number. It’s been with that team a couple of weeks now annoyingly, but there’s not a lot I can do in the meantime. My scan date for a new application was July 14th! I will call again on Thursday to see where it’s at. Hope that helps x

Kas76 · 01/11/2022 17:22

Just saw on a Facebook page that someone has been awarded and scan date was 1st August.

Chebs81 · 01/11/2022 18:13

I got a text to say son was awarded, letter on way. Scan date Aug 1st. How long does money normally take to go in and if I ring will they say what he was awarded please.

gingergingerginger · 01/11/2022 18:18

Thanks @Twinboyz . That's helpful.

@Shellbel10 are you going to contact them with a number, or leave it do you think?

Shellbel10 · 01/11/2022 18:18

Going from what previous people have said once you’ve been awarded money only takes a couple of days to go in. Yes if you ring they’ll tell you the rates. Hope this helps

Isaacsmammy · 01/11/2022 18:27

I’m the 27th July and still had no news. Think I’ll ring again tomorrow for an update.

Shellbel10 · 01/11/2022 18:28

@gingergingerginger ill leave it I haven’t got a number to give them

Shellbod81 · 01/11/2022 18:44

I didn’t put a National insurance number niether as my son has just turned 12 I hope this dosnt prolong things the wait has been long enough ….does anybody know if they can give you a decision without having provided This? Thanks

gingergingerginger · 01/11/2022 18:52

I've just had a look back at the wording on the form and it says 'national insurance number if known'. So you must be able to do without it.

I've checked my paperwork and I can't find any sort of NI or reference number for my DS, so I guess I'll just leave it.

Chebs81 · 01/11/2022 19:31

@Gemma96x school report they wouldn't fill in the form the page they can. So I put his yearly report that every child gets because it outlined some difficulties he has. And his letter from hospital saying he was list for assessment for adhd and asd. I don't know what rate the text didn't say.

Aww well that's brilliant. Does the text from dla actually state that you been awarded or does it just say you've got a decision just curious X

Chebs81 · 01/11/2022 19:55

@Gemma96x thankyou yes it weight off especially with the price rises and him breaking alot of stuff. @Shellbel10 I'm not sure if they did they told me to put contact details down. They wouldn't tell me anyway at moment as we have a mistreatment case against them.

Yea the prices are crazy now even for some milk where I am is 1.60 for small one. And can I ask is it autism ur child has my son has got autism and forever smashing everything up I just can't keep up with it all and having to replace nearly every month X

Chebs81 · 02/11/2022 00:22

@Gemma96x adhd and asd his school thinks and I agree. He is never still but can hyper focus if likes something. He doesn't play much and would rather adults to kids. He doesn't make eye contact, hates food touching or food that has a sauce unless its separated. He's really clever. High maths and reading age. Hates loud noises but he is the loudest. Doesn't understand body language or sarcasm. Talks really well, but was late with sitting up, crawling and walking. He babbled and then stopped for months when he was a baby. Would say words and you wouldn't hear anything from him for weeks. Then he started talking normally at 18 months and hasn't stopped since. And yes he likes to break things. And flood sinks and toilets. Gets obsessions with things. Dates seems to be his new things. How long untill, what happened on this date before. But then gets really confused. He knows his birthday is poppy day but can't understand that yes it is but it's always on a Sunday and his birthday is a Friday. He has a one to one in school as he just disrupts the whole class same with swimming lessons. He doesn't see danger in anything and will just run off. Very impulsive.

Shellbel10 · 02/11/2022 07:19

Are you going to ring today @Chebs81 to see what rates were

Yea I think with just reading ur message there a very high chance of autism because my son is very simular to what you have just put apart from my son likes food but do not like the feel off wet like water so hard to bath him ect x

Gemma96x · 02/11/2022 09:04

Gemma96x · 02/11/2022 09:05
