Child protection device.

I’m creating a device made for protecting school children while they walk home alone. Any ideas that anyone would like the contribute?

My DD (11) has a phone and an Apple Watch. What more could she need?

A protection device. While an apple watch and airtag is great it won’t help much with protecting our children from potential attackers. My aim is to create a device that will help protect children from attackers.

A suit of armour?
A killer laser beam?
A homing device?
Not sure what could stop them potentially being run over. Maybe surrounding the armour in several layers of rubber and bubble wrap?

bodycam?

Like a rape alarm?

The thing is, is it proportionate to make our youngsters so afraid they need to carry something walking home (from school at 3:30pm?) alone.

How many children are attacked on their way home from school each year?

So you'd like to make a product, presumably to sell, but you don't have any ideas so you'd like other people to think of it for you. To make you money. Good business model.

Most children are probably attacked by their peers on their way home. If someone is going to the lengths to abduct a teenager, I can't see them caring about a panic alarm or similar TBH.

Who are you imaging these attackers might be OP? Cause the most common scenario would be another child from school would be the attacker.

What kind of children/age might need one ? My kids managed to walk home without this device and I see kids do this everyday successfully.

You can't encourage children to carry a weapon so I'm interested in what your solution is.

Do you have a profile in mind of the attacker, perhaps you could show us the numbers of children attacked per annum, broken down by the ages and sexes of the attackers?

Oh and also broken down by the ages and sexes of the victims.
