Trying to work out if going to Legoland is going to be a nightmare or not!! We are in Surrey…so many other schools also have an inset day then?

autienotnaughty · 04/06/2022 08:04

look at prices if it's term time pricing you should be ok. Holiday pricing they are expecting older kids. We went in august. It was horrific!! Would definitely avoid July/Aug

Gizlotsmum · 04/06/2022 08:05

Cambridgeshire do

Wickywickyyow · 04/06/2022 08:11

Windsor does!

AxolotlEars · 04/06/2022 08:16

Yes...west Midlands

Kittybelle007 · 04/06/2022 08:17

Some do around here (although not mine!) - West London.

emmy4 · 04/06/2022 08:17

Yes, both children different schools are off.

Simonjt · 04/06/2022 08:23

Lots do, thats why exams aren’t scheduled for the Monday.

Skyeheather · 04/06/2022 08:35

Yes in Central Scotland, it's a local bank holiday not an inset day though. Probably shouldn't affect you though as it would be a long trip home from Legoland for school on Tuesday!

toomuchfaster · 04/06/2022 09:00

Yep, our Mat does - 7 schools I think but in Dorset.

Kingstonmumof1 · 04/06/2022 09:06

Ours do, and several others locally.

Ghostlyfeet · 04/06/2022 09:19

Mine does- Hampshire

littleblackno · 04/06/2022 09:21

Most primary schools do around here (plymouth) that I know of. But not secondary schools as GCSE exams are on Monday.

supercalifragilistic123 · 04/06/2022 09:22

Don't do it! We went to Chessington that time last year and it was hell on earth. Made the national news. Everyone had the same bloody idea.

I think a lot of schools have it as an inset day.

Gizlotsmum · 04/06/2022 08:05

Cambridgeshire do

I'm in Cambridge and my children don't

MargeSimpson79 · 04/06/2022 09:23

My youngest does, eldest doesn’t. West Midlands. I am taking my youngest to chessington - I think it’s going to be busy!

nutellingyou · 04/06/2022 09:25

Yes primary DC
We did this once - never again... Legoland was busier on an inset day than on a normal peak season Saturday! Sorry OP!

towelsa · 04/06/2022 09:45

I am in exactly the same position - we have an inset day (Hampshire school). I saw their carer tickets have already gone so was wondering if it's an extra busy day. Now worried.

LittleScottieDog · 04/06/2022 09:45

We don't have INSET but it's the extra bank holiday so school is closed and school staff get a day off, too.

ahunf · 04/06/2022 09:46

My younger one is off. My eldest is at school.

Findahouse21 · 04/06/2022 09:47

Yes, as a pp said, Chessington is usually absolute carnage on the day after the May Bank Holiday so imagine legoland will be simillar
