BALR, your Nuts!!!!!!

Cm and Mums here are off to a eat all you can Chinese tonight

And dont know how many mindees i will have today with this Viral Infection knocking them out, but have heard that SAHMindee2 is progressing and is now out of hospital.

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 07/12/2007 06:57

Morning. I take it Ju is still in bed, having opened up at 12.30am! Nutcase!

I took delievery of first mindee about an hour ago, I have a feeling thats the last time I'll be doing that. Mum & dad have split up and getting her to me at 6am, is not going to be easy for her. I'll do what I can, as ever. She's a fab lady and she'd bend over backwards for me, so its the least I can do.

Mindee went straight back to sleep, so I've done my house work and the washing is on. DH is just back from Smithfields meat market in London. He's been to get the Chirstmas meat. I have a ham the size of a small country, I think!

Windy innit?

shoshaliteupthetree · 07/12/2007 07:04

We have aham like that as well, going to do the Nigella Coke thing with it.

And is there any need to tell us about your nether regions???????? hope the smell has gone before mindee awakes

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 07/12/2007 07:13

You have a shining wit for this time of day.

shoshaliteupthetree · 07/12/2007 07:16

or a winning s**t

fruitloop79 · 07/12/2007 07:18

Morning everyone.
I cant wake DP up! He cme in drunk lst night, well this morning @2.30am and he's asleep on sofa and I've gotta go fetch a couple of mindees and gotta leave DS behind with (probably still drunk) DP! I cant bloody wake him!
Oh crap, I'm gonna have to leave I'm running late as it is.
Lazy Town's on so DS should be ok.
It's just that DP cant have anymore days off sick cos he wont be paid - I'm gonna kill him when he finally gets up

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 07/12/2007 07:22

Oh dear, how annoying! Lets hope he's got a stonking hangover and feels like poo all day, especially if he's got to go to work.

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 07/12/2007 07:59

Right, fingers crossed and all that, but mindee that was giving me hassle yesterday because I wanted to finish 20 mins early, has not arrived yet. Due at 7.45am. Mum was feeling rough last night, boyfriend due back from abroad today, I think she may be taking the day off! She'll still bring him here of course, for me to take him to school. I live 5 mins walk from the school and she lives 10 mins drive away. whats the point of that then? She may as well take him to school, hey ho, I've been paid to do it! However, it does mean that she can pick him up at 5.30 instead of 5.45pm! I did have him for an extra 1/2hour lst night because of cancelled trains and I never, ever charge for that, so she owes me!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 07/12/2007 08:07

Bugger! He's here and she's gone to work. I said, who's picking him up tonight, she said, 'oh yes, I'll ring you when I get to work'

mumlove · 07/12/2007 08:25

Waiting for my mindee to arrive, last week I left for school as they were not here, mum will still be late I think!!

fruitloop79 · 07/12/2007 08:40

He's STILL out for the count. Got my mindees here now and he's on the sofa, highly unattractive, they keep going up to him and string and prodding him. He's snoring really loudly too. I should take a picture and post it on mumsnet that might bring him back to reality . Actually I should post in on Facebook so all his mates and work collegues can see - actually best not in case his boss sees . but great idea theoretically

I got a voicemail yesterday from someone looking for a full time CM for their 6 month old DD starting next March. One of my CM mates gave them my number. They only live in the next street too!
Just gotta pluck up the courage to end contract with current neurotic parents of full timer.
Their contract is up beginning of Jan. I didnt wanna tell them till beginning feb as I wanna stretch it out for as long as possible before new one starts in March (if!)
What should I do?
Renew their contract then give them notice in Feb? or is that a bit mean? I just dont wanna be without money as it all goes on mortgage etc so I really rely on it!
Of course this is all providing new mindee is definitely starting

shoshaliteupthetree · 07/12/2007 08:50

Ok girls roll up to my thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1375/436371?stamp=071207084615 and no rude replies!!

FL, can you not I suppose it depends when the new one starts, if its the eginning of march and review isnt till the middle of january, by the time they have there 4 weeks notice, it is almost time for the new one to start.

fruitloop79 · 07/12/2007 08:51

thats staring and prodding!

shoshaliteupthetree · 07/12/2007 08:53

FL you need a cattle prod

mumlove · 07/12/2007 09:09

FL - lipstick and xmas decs and also taking a photo comes to my mind when you said about DP.

fruitloop79 · 07/12/2007 09:14

i've woke up now, p* off... , FL's DP

mumlove · 07/12/2007 09:22

off to work then.

fruitloop79 · 07/12/2007 09:26

Nice language DP now get to work, >

He's finally gone, how rude. I told him we were talking about him so he insisted he be involved.

Right, I'm going to take DS to nursery then I'm taking mindees to group where I'll call the new parents back, hopefully will get them over for a chat next week! I'm trying not to get hopes up but it's impossible cos It's so perfect. I wont have to do anymore pick ups/drop offs. Trust me, I'm NEVER doing that again! heavy traffic early morning and then again at 6:30pm. What a mug!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 07/12/2007 09:57

Morning all.....I was expecting a bad night with the kids but ds slept through til about 8ish and baby mindee slept through and didn't need getting up til around 9am!! I'm soooo chuffed, after the previous night being up for 3 hours, I was worried I was in for another bad night but thank god I was wrong. Baby just having toast for breakfast (don't think she'd had toast before - she's enjoying it ) and I'm about to have my cup of tea and toast. Nice lazy day, don't need to go out til 2.30pm (pick pre-schooler up).

Baby's dad has been round with supplies this morning whilst mummy was in bed having got very drunk again last night - they had a row in London as she was so drunk and wanted a taxi home rather than wait for the train!! Cost them £95 for taxi home .

What you all up to today? I put loads of backing paper on the wall yesterday and we're going to cut out shapes like stars, trees, snowmen, candles etc etc and then decorate them with glitter and sequins etc and stick them up there

Loopy - I'd have been so if that was my dp!!! Glad he finally got up, poor you!

Mumlove - hello

Shosh - all you can eat Chinese - am I coming??? I LOVE Chinese

Mo - I hope when she calls she isn't saying she can't get them collected, especially as she was late last night!

LMGs - in case you pop in, good luck for your meetings today!!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 07/12/2007 10:09

Problem solved, either boyfriend is collecting or she is loeavng work early. She hasn't forgotten and will be here by 5.45. Still don't quite trust it to run smoothly, but hey ho!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 07/12/2007 10:12

That's ok then, fingers crossed they ARE on time

MightyMoosh · 07/12/2007 10:52

Hello cm's, got back really late from interview last night absolutly soaked, was supposed to go again today to meet kiddies etc but cancelled, so would it be wrong to stay in bed all day? I will have to go library to avoid evil fines.

My dear mum got me a choc advent calender, and I had all the chocs up to today in bed for breakfast. Good times.
