Hi was thinking of setting up a skydrive account so parents can log on and view photos but did not want to pay for set software do you think this would work if parents were given a password for that specific account?

Hi LM

I would be very wary of any remote storage at the mo

here

I know that the linked thread is about a whole system but even so, it illustrates my misgivings

Feel free to ignore, as I know nowt of the technicalities Smile

Thank you RandomNumbers that is why I have always decided against those sites. It would be a back up not the only storage method as I already have safe storage of photos was just thinking as yesterday I took two children on a day out and both sets of parents have families living abroad they want to share photos with so if they had a password for their child's photos family could log on. I hate the idea of facebook as you are in no control over who has access despite your privacy settings people can copy photos too easily. If a parent was worried about who had access I would be able to control their password.

If it helps your paperwork go for it. Just make sure that you have everything backed up. I learnt that important lesson. I've managed to save everything now.
