hi nosnik!

starlight, i think it is a great idea, and definitely worth talking to her about it !
appropriate skills: passion for helping women have a positive birth experience, compassion, empathy, helping you to get through labour , adopting different positions, offering sips of water, back massage etc.. i reckon an AN teacher trainee could handle that

Baby was moving so much last night that it was really hurting, not labour hurting but stinging enough to make me wince. Felt like it was pushing down but turning around as well. was doing it for about 4 hrs. Does this mean he/she is distressed?

It has happened before but no for so long. I was sick yesterday and had a migraine too, 39
+6 btw

FoghornLeghorn · 20/04/2008 14:00

I would've said baby was possible changing position, both DD's did this to me at 39+ weeks and was most uncomfortable .... however, 4 hours doesn't seem like it was baby moving.

Hopefully Lulu will be more use to you

Star light how many weeks are you again? I'd love to have my mum as doula but we are very much of the same view on child birth. I'm not sure that if she was 'old school' I'd be so keen!

Nosnik · 20/04/2008 14:06

It was more like: "Bit cramped in here, maybe if I just stick my head down here a bit and do some break dancing and then kick my legs all at the same time, then squeeze this and punch that I'll make more room for myself so I can stay here comfortably for another week!" I swear I have at least 6 new stretch marks over night!
