seeing MW tomorrow and she will do sweep (but only if favourable) - in reality I have resigned myself to baby not arriving for a week yet.

MW told me that the sweep went really well, and she expected me to be in labour within 24 hours. I've been crampy since, but nothing as yet...five hours before the 24-hr deadline passes!

been to midwife - sweep attempted but not possible as could only just reach the cervix! oh well.....

hi, sorry to post on here, just there are some very knowledgable peeps, had a sweep at 11 this morning and had a very dark brown show about 20 mins ago, baby is engaged 3/5 (at last!) and mw gave me a sheet with my 'bishops score' its 5, is this good?

dilation is 1-2
consistency is Medium
length of cervix is 1-2
position of cervix is Middle
station is -3

is there anyone out there that can tell me what this means?

Hello all - I'm joining this thread too if that's okay? 2 days overdue now and VERY impatient! Sweep only booked in for next Thursday - I'm hoping baby will come before then as it sounds horrible! So if you could all make a wish for me that baby comes pronto, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm 39 weeks now, went and delayed my c section for a week and now having contraction pains. Bugger. Not regular but quite a few today. Now i want a nice calm elective!
